This is the exact reason I don’t care for games that don’t charge a monthly fee. You can cry and whine about any class not getting what they NEED, but when the company isn’t making any money aside from client sales and gem sales, you have nothing to “hold over their heads”. It sucks. At least when there is a monthly fee, and enough people threaten to, or actually do leave, you are at least putting a very minimal dent in their pocket. I have grown tired of waiting for rangers to get any sort of love. I highly doubt I will be coming back at all. By the time they fix anything, I will need to relearn how to play my character anyhow. Not worth my effort for something that Anet obviously doesn’t care about.
This game has become a huge waste of time and worse. money. I play rangers/hunters in every game I have ever played. I like attacking from a distance and I cannot tolerate warrior classes. Rangers have been ignored since the release of this game while other classes just get more and more powerful. When people ask me what games I can suggest them to play, I have always tried to lead them to whatever I am currently playing. Since I am normally having fun with it. This is not the case with GW2. The refer a friend weekend got no response from me at all. I don’t want my friends getting mad at me for having them buy a badly designed game. This could have been so much more, and so much better. The events have been the only thing that has kept me playing. Since the ancient kurka event, I haven’t even logged in. My ranger class is a joke. Why bother? I guess I will chalk this one up as a game that was barely better than Diablo III. But that still doesn’t say much. Totally let down yet again.

I completed the Order of Whispers Story line but I want the Priory armor. Is there a way for me to obtain this armor?

Roll a new character. That’s the only way to join a different order unfortunately. There is no way to buy an alternative orders armor.
I have completed it about 15 times between 5 characters. It took me about 7 hours last night of continuous failure. Then this morning it only took me 4 tries and it has been pretty much a cake walk since.
I rolled through this on the absolute first try on my little asura warrior. 1 single try. Completed. Got level 80 exotic slippers that I can’t use for another 67 levels. 1 try.
Human Ranger 5x
Sylvari Elementalist 1x
Norn Ranger 1x
Asura Warrior 1x
No buffs on any of them with the exception of the elementalist who is air attuned with run speed buff. In all honesty, the speed buff hindered me more than it helped as I was jumping too fast and too far most of the time. I switched back to fire attunement when I finally beat it on that character.
Following the first time I completed the puzzle this morning, I was actually given a travel box to go to my actual server. I was standing next to the chest at this time. So I went ahead and clicked it. (had already opened the chest) I was ported on my server back to the bottom and then into the puzzle itself. The freakin glorious thing was…there was NO ONE there with me. I completed it 3 more times all alone. I was able to get the other chests on the way up too. I was kind of disappointed when I finally decided to leave.
I don’t know if it was a bug, a glitch, or whatever you wanna call it. But it was awesome!

Suck it up and do it. It sucks, but it is doable. I’ve done it 4 times this morning with all types of races.

Instead of promising a fix you obviously can’t deliver on, why not just freakin remove this from the game. It is quite clear you cannot fix it. It was promised for the last 2 patches and yet here stands at least 100 kitten off players looking at a corpse.
This happens to me every day. I always exit to desktop and reload. Seems to have fixed it for me every time. But an annoyance just the same.

This one was broken for me as well on Sunday afternoon. After the patch however, I was able to get this one completed.
I just attempted this as well. First door opens. Then nothing goes active. I did the jump the door trick, door opened and all servants went active. Killed all of them. Door still wouldn’t open by normal means. Jumped up again and everything else continued as expected until the mouth of Zhaitan fight. Then as stated earlier all of the accompanying NPCs were dead in 1 hit and the fight is left to you. With all of the poison puddles and flame sprays, this is nearly impossible. Especially since ANet nerfed the crap out of the Ranger short bow. Guess I will wait another week or 2 to finish the story until maybe they can get something fixed.
I have 7 of them in my inventory right now on TC. I used 1 to open the door originally when I was exploring that area. Figured I would hang on to them just in case they open doors elsewhere in the game I haven’t encountered yet.

Sadly this one will be broken until our next update. The issue here was found after we got the fix in that I mentioned last week. Luckily, this is the only one that was affected by this issue.

NPC still broken. (3+ weeks now) NPC just lays there dead. Unknown if it ever worked when server came up from update.
Completed with 2nd character this week. This bug seems totally random.
I completed this story quest on my Elementalist yesterday and had no issues with it at all other than it is completely overtuned. Still have yet to attempt it on my ranger until I get him a couple of more levels.
This is freakin ridiculous. If you can’t fix 1 stupid event for map completion, just remove it entirely. And I would like a refund on waypoint travel to go check it as well.
Harathi Hinterlands has a bunch of DEs that spawn one after another. You can easily hit 4-5 in a row killing the centaur people/warbeasts. Plus you get a chest at the end to boot. I have seen this whole series trigger within 5 minutes of completing it. Another place is the snowy camps in Gendarran fields. There are nearly nonstop events going back and forth from north to south.
It’s getting far worse than just being where a mob cannot hit you. I have had very bad experiences with this throughout the entire weekend. Worse than it has ever been in the past. It is really annoying to strategize to down a veteran mob, use skills to buff up and get pet buffed up, engage the mob and have it in a constant state of invulnerability until all of my buffs are worn off and everything is on cooldown, THEN it becomes attackable. That is nearly unacceptable. I can deal with the skill point bugs and the DEs that break constantly, but not even being able to kill a mob due to the crappy coding used to defeat botters is BS. If you really want to defeat botters, actually DO something about the millions of reports you have received instead of ignoring them completely.

I got caught by this pack 2 nights ago. Did not fare well. Way to close to the level scale line.
I submitted a support ticket which was never addressed with more than a “wait for us to respond” email. I tried updating to the latest stable nvidia driver and that didn’t help. I finally just uninstalled and redownloaded the entire game.
I think there should be two options then you click on a waypoint you want to travel to. The first would be the current system, costing a lot for instant, convenient travel. The second option would be to take a “mount” to the waypoint. This mount would move no faster than a player character running. But it could follow a designated route to the destination and while on it, you could not be attacked by area mobs. So in essence, you would still take the same amount of time to get there, but wouldn’t have to worry about aggroing every mob in the zone when you try to run though. This second option could cost a low amount of copper.
I have tried to run the gw2.exe -repair and that didn’t help. The log there said it found 0 bad files. So now I am compiling a game advisor log to report with a support ticket.
This afternoon I tried to log in, and was prompted with an update. This downloaded in a few minutes. I keep my launcher set to ‘auto-play’, so when it was finished, it continued on to what would normally be my character select screen and then crashes. I get a popup box stating the Gw2.exe has encountered a serious error and gives a crash dump. I tried to post that here but can’t due to forum constraints. Any ideas? I honestly don’t want to have to redownload everything again as this will be the 3rd time in 3 weeks I have had to do that.
Skill Point Bugs:
1. Metrica Province – Inquest Outer Complex. Robot not spawning. (since Friday 9/21/12)
2. Metrica Province – Loch Jezt. NPC laying dead and not respawning. (since Friday 9/21/12)
3. Snowden Drifts – Lost Child’s Sorrow. No NPC spawn at all (since Saturday 9/22/12)
4. Kessex Hills – Skrittsburgh Center area locked down. Events to reopen it are bugged out. Two skill points in there that are unable to be completed.
I completed this story portion 2 nights ago without any issues. Currently I am set to low-med setup on almost all aspects of the graphics. Running a 1gb geforce gtx 550Ti.

There is when AN isn’t making as money as they had hoped by selling gems.
Not only CoF. CM was changed too. Not only are the rewards for doing the thing reduced, they introduced harder mobs to kill and added more as well. So now it’s totally NEVER worth it to go try to help others complete it even once.
Added a system to limit the experience and gold that players can receive from speed-farming dungeons.

I agree. The “end game” is the same for everyone once you get there. What difference does it make ‘how’ you get there? I think the only issue here is that ANet could possibly be losing out on gem sales because people are making enough gold by conventional means. (read: farming it)
To me, they are following the exact schedule that blizzard did with Diablo 3. It started out great, then they nerfed everything to hell and back making it so you had to play only 1 way.
This game was in beta for how long? There was plenty of time to make these changes prior to launch. Not to wait 3 weeks, allow thousands of players to complete this exact path to riches, exp, and loot, and then take it away from those that want the same. Now it seems that those that were allowed this scenario have an unfair advantage over the rest of us.
