Hi everyone,
Long time gamer here! Currently living in Europe but moving to the US soon. My account is now on Eredon Terrace and I am slightly reluctant to transfer because I have just recently transferred, however I will do so if I can find the right fit. I am searching far and wide for something very specific.
Regarding scope: I would like to find a small/medium-sized (probably in the ballpark of 5-50 players) guild. It is important that members of the guild are social and play together the vast majority of the time when on. The possibility to even make real-life friends would be great.
Regarding personas: I’m looking for good senses of humor and maturity. I know those words are thrown around a lot, but I really mean it. It’s important that we can make each other laugh and get along in general. On the other side of the coin I would also like to avoid highly sensitive groups that are frequently offended. Balance is important to me.
Regarding activities: I am primarily looking for PVE. For me that means map exploration and adventuring, events, dungeons, fractals, etc. I am not interested in WvW (I have tried it on a number of occasions and it is not for me). I am generally not interested in structured PVP either, however would consider doing it on occasion if I could find a fun group to do it with. By the way: I love PVP in many other games but am less fond of it in GW2 particularly.
Regarding pace: As with most things I have discussed, I am looking for balance. I like taking the time to follow the story and understand what’s happening, but I also want to get things done in a timely manner. So I would like to avoid groups that keep the throttle on max, ignoring story completely and blind to anything but XP bars and loot. On the other hand, I would also like to avoid groups that stop to read the full text of every NPC they encounter. It’s all about balance. Also, I want my gameplay to be intriguing and meaningful – if something would be described as “grinding” or “farming”, I am probably not interested. The beauty of GW2 is that the journey itself is so much fun.
That’s all I can think of for now. If you think I would be a good fit for your group: please get in touch via PM and tell me more about your guild and, more importantly, the people in it!

P.S. If you’re a a lone wolf searching for this sort of group as well, I’d like to hear from you too! We could group up and if we find enough like-minded people maybe start our own guild eventually.
