The Vigil’s armor set has a lighter look, as (I believe) do the other two orders’ heavy armors. A combo of Vigil and some other things is what I’m using for my female Norn when I take her out as a sniper in WvW.
As a side note, you can go to the pvp lobby in the mists, go to the pvp lockers, and preview a lot of the armor sets in the game. They go by different names, but you can always google the names they go by in there and probably find what they correspond to in pve.
I’ve used that method to compose and collect several armor sets I like the look of. Good luck!
Thanks everybody for your input. :]
A lot of these instances were in big fights, so I’m thinking it’s something along the lines of the 5 player limit on those hammer strikes. In the big fights like that, she may not happen to be tagging the enemies that die, or they may even be getting away with downed skills like teleports in the confusion and lag.
As long as there’s no such thing as a limit on the number of people able to tag a single foe, or known bugs, or anything like that, it has to be something along those lines.
Thanks again.
I have searched around the forums a bit, and couldn’t find anything related to this issue, so I though I’d ask here, and see if anyone else has any light to shine on it.
Earlier today, my mate was running in WvW and got a bit frustrated. We were trying for the “50 kills” for the monthly achievement, but she couldn’t get credit on many of the kills. This was (as a hammer warrior) even on enemies that she locked down and half killed herself (her and an ally vs 1 runner, her doing a cc lockdown and about 40% total health damage to the enemy, no other allies or enemies around).
At first we thought maybe she wan’t tagging them, but she was. Then we considered that maybe she wasn’t doing enough damage, but then the above scenario occurred. Other scenarios that seemed fishy were aoe tagging with longbow gtaoes, or various small group skirmishes with melee weapons. Most times no exp would pop up, no loot bags, no enemies counted towards the monthly. I, and the rest of our small group, got the monthly like 3x quicker than she did. I sat back and watched, and personally couldn’t see anything glaring she was doing wrong.
Is there something here we’re missing, like some requirement/limitation for getting WvW kill credit? A bug?
Either way, thanks for reading and any assistance. Also: Inb4 LTP.
:]
Annathesa, unless you can provide details, then I’m going to have to remain sceptical as to just how much profit you really ARE making when you claim that you are buying all the mats from the TP, and use them to craft items and then sell them again.
That’s fine. :]
I’m just not going to point out how (or even how much) I make out in public like this. No offense intended, I just don’t want to have to compete with more people than I already do that know my markets. Just pointing out that it can be done.
I’m not going to go into detail on how and what crafts I use, but I make plenty of gold through buying materials off the TP and crafting it up to sell back on the TP. No market flipping required, just a little market research every day. I prolly spend about 20-30 minuets every day on it and the actual crafting combined, and I have little trouble affording anything but legendaries or a set of T3 cultural.
I’ll say though that not all crafting professions are equal in this, however.
From my testing in the mists on the golems, they seem to still be bugged.
The description states that the 4 piece bonus triggers on hit, but actually triggers when you are hit. It’s described differently than the runes that do have a triggered effect “when you are hit.”
Is this a bug with the runes working the wrong way, or is the tooltip description wrong/misleading?
I would love to know before buying a set of these myself, but either way, thanks for taking a look. :]
