Im super late to this conversation!
Sorry for the lack of effort to use proper grammar and spelling but.. As for the boss who asked why we think it would be good is because.. Personally dueling opens up another whole wing for things to do… Its just another really fun thing to do for people to randomly pick their areas in the vast open world you guys have given us to use… gives us all the benefits of the costume arena and more..
Like while waiting for a world boss or something we can just duel to kill time or to practice certain rotations etc… People try to claim dueling allows people to act elitest.. if someone wishes to act elitest they are simply going to do so no matter what you do.. dueling system or not… Its just soo much more convenient to do then to setup a costume arena and leave the area to practice something that could take 2 minutes

not to mention… this could open up dueling tournaments, Allowing guilds to set up events that could go uninterrupted by random costume arena invaders and again… also allows players to go explore the amazing content you have given us to use for such events that would just.. make it amazing!
I also understand why people do not want it, Although it should not effect people if they simply do not go and duel.. sure you maybe challenged just simply decline… This is not WoW, The community is pretty amazing here and I dont feel like a majority of people would use the dueling system to grief.. if it ever boiled down to that point, Im sure a guard system could be implemented to auto decline duels if 1 person keeps requesting to duel repeatedly, I can not give a reason why this would be better then some other project you guys are working to provide for us… BUT I do have to say a dueling system overall would be interesting, Fun, and crazy in this game
