Except for AC and Arah, all dungeon paths give 1g. This is really not a huge incentive, especially when I can get 10g from the pavillion in approximately 45mins of farming.
Wow, just… wow. I did not expect the gold reward for paths to be exceptionally accurate, but to make all AC paths and p3 Arah1.5g, the other three paths of Arah 3g, and everything else 1g seems unbelievably lazy. However, I like to believe that Anet is not indolent in their structuring of these rewards, but rather incognizant of their difficulty.
I can empathize with having a busy life and not always being able to fit my gaming schedule in between work, home life, and social commitments. Your comments are not lost on us.
We’re exploring some ideas for the future, including a system that would allow certain bits of Living World content to be accessed independent of the release. Plans and designs have not been solidified yet, so I want to temper your expectations. But if you have any opinions on the matter feel free to let us know. We’re already looking at ways to leave some LW content behind to evolve Tyria and improve the game. This would be one element of it, should we decide to build such a feature.
Appreciate the response
It’s always reassuring to know that the team is listening. Allowing players to revisit at least a small part of the living story is definitely a step in the right direction. I know that for me, when school and work force me to take a hiatus from the game, it’s extremely disheartening to find out I missed out on a large chunk of exclusive content. It also discourages me to play as I feel like I’ve already missed so much.
I will definitely keep my eye on this subforum as I develop ideas to alleviate the current situation.
I really do find Anet’s commitment and fervent passion for this game laudable. They have certainly shown that they’re in for the long haul and want to keep the experience fresh. In light of all this, I share the same sentiment as many of you. Having new content to explore all of the time is great, but it’s temporary nature and emphasis on achievements leaves me stressed as well.
I see those achievements and cannot help but feel I must complete them before time expires. This feeling has become intensified due to the fact that achievements now provide tangible benefits. When I log in these days, I no longer feel I can revel in the freedom to work on whatever I want. Of course I still have this freedom but there’s always that pressure telling me to make sure my daily is completed, work on meta achievements, and hit the main world events. If I want to do a daily fractal or dungeon on top of all this, it starts taking 3-4+ hours to make sure the stuff I can only do once per day has been completed.
I really can’t say I blame Anet for all of this. I’m not forced to do any of the daily things or go for the meta achievements, but I personally feel some anxiety if I miss out and that’s an issue I need to work on for myself.
In the end though, I’m not sure for how much longer I will continue to play. I’m an avid gamer and I want to be able to enjoy and support other great games that come out in the future, but I can’t feasibly do this while keeping up with GW2 with a 40hr/week job. I don’t want to have to choose but I may have to soon.

translates to Lilly the White and I like that as well.
Human female mesmer from the streets – Fiona Hexblade
Fantastic job OP. I honestly believe these are intelligent ideas that have the potential to evolve PvE combat from the rather platitudinous “tank and spank” it has become.
Keep up the good work
Please pay attention Anet!
I’ve been out of the game for several months and I’m wondering at what time the new patch will most likely go live. For the past content updates, was it at server reset time (5:00PM PST) or at midnight of the day?
Thank you
