Guild Wars 2

I recently made a few minor hardware changes to my desktop PC, and it has impacted the way my mouse wheel and/or cursor functions in-game.

The problem is with the accuracy of the mouse wheel, as pertains to the world map and in-game windows. The mouse wheel does not scroll within a window when the cursor is in that window (i.e. the mouse wheel won’t scroll down in the options menu, even when the cursor is hovering over the window. I have to move the cursor far over to the right in order to scroll down). On the world map, zooming in and out is inaccurate per the location of the cursor – it zooms to the left of where my cursor is. However, the cursor is still accurate for targeting skills, etc.

I made the following changes a few days ago:
- I replaced my 27" monitor for a 40" (4K).
- As is expected with getting a larger monitor, I upped my resolution. Went from 1920×1080 to 2560×1440; tried 3840×2160, as well.
- I added another graphics card, and am running two in SLI. I set GW2 specifically to run on a single GPU, as SLI didn’t seem to cooperate with the game very well. Oddly enough, setting it to run on a single GPU did seem to yield a noticeable difference in performance – nearly doubled my frame-rate.

The mouse wheel functions appropriately at 1920×1080 res, but at higher resolutions it becomes offset, as described above. I have tested this at 2560×1440, as well as at 3840×2160, and the problem persists. I don’t see any in-game option to correct this.

Is there a solution for this? Do I need to run at a lower resolution, or change some setting outside of GW2? Is it a GW2-internal problem that I just have to deal with?

- Running GW2 in full-screen
- Graphics cards are Nvidia GTX970’s – Asus Strix
- CPU is AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz

Question RE: Guild Upgrades – Now that we’re coming up on HoT release, is it advisable to queue up some guild upgrades, or should I not bother? My guild currently has ‘Politics’, ‘Art of War’, and ‘Economy’ at T5. I want to upgrade to T6. But if I queue those upgrades now, they’ll not have time to finish before HoT releases.

Help/advice?

I’m having the same problems as everybody else. Daily Achievements not resetting since the 15 April update. I seriously hope ANet fixes this soon….
