I understand why people are very frustrated with the jumping challenges, but I wanted to express appreciation for this to Josh Foreman. The clocktower was a blast, and I enjoyed the small challenge of navigating the drops in Madness Ascent.

As a suggestion, what if both had an “easier” mode? For example, a Clock Tower internal path that is much easier to navigate (timed, but with no drops), but does not have the extra chests. And the Mad King would have a teleport mechanic, but that would take longer/take you farther away from the boss. That way, you don’t have to engage in the challenging content, but people like myself would still have the option for that extra shiny and personal gratification.

I like grenades for the AOE damage and slow/poison/blind. They are superior to the rifle when you happen to pull 8 grubs >.>

And I’m pre-60 (working on it). I have switched to bombs recently as I prefer confusion/cripple but grenades work as well. I just like their responsiveness better for PvE.

I absolutely LOVE the bomb kit, and kind of see it as a Mesmer-In-A-Box kit. The default bombs can be autocast and deal good damage; flame bomb creates a fire combo field; concussion bomb does amazing damage, and if you combine it with 4 you get a lot of damage out for free while doing other things; 5 is great for getting away or herding enemies or simply getting out to range and resuming killing things. The only reason I switch out of bomb kit nowadays is a) I’m underwater or b) I’m in WvWvW. In both of those situations, grenade kit is superior.

Oh, almost forgot – Big Ol’ Bomb is simply amazing in every situation.

Overall, having gotten used to the bomb kit, I actually feel it’s extremely strong and it makes PvE or sPvP a LOT easier.
