Guild Wars 2

Same problem here.
I listed some crafting materials yesterday before playing the demo, and now I can’t get the gold from the sale.

EDIT: I reloged and the gold vanished… I’m not sure what to think of it.
I don’t really keep track of my gold, so I can’t be sure if it simply vanished, or it was a visual bug and what I have in my pockets are already from my sales.

+ I keep getting Network error (Code=1083:5:7:1595:101)

So, I’m just curious about this:

A friend just bought the game (like a week ago) knowing that it was a “one time pay” game. With the expansion coming soon (something I was really excited with) this unpleasent though comes to me… the thought that I’ll have to say to my friend “I’m sry dude, it’s not a pay and play game anymore, you’ll have to pay once more, and any other time they decide to update the game and call an expansion”.

Thou, I’m not familiar with the game also, nor I watched the stream about the expansion. I just play casualy, and so I’m guessing that:
1) you can’t play the game as it is after the expansion (some games have their expansion separately, which isn’t the case here, right?)
2) there’s no ganrantee that the game will remain free after paying for this expansion, cuz they could release some future paid expansion and so on.

I appologize again, I read only some bits of info here and there, and also pretty much only the GM replies to this thread.

I’m looking for a a guild to ‘start playing Gw2’. Darkhaven server (if not mistaken)
I have the game for quite a while but I’ve not been too much into it, specialy cuz I was playing Tera. I can’t promise I’ll be really active, but I’m willing to learn the game, group up, make friends…. and have a good time.
My first MMO was LotRO, and it had amazing lore, music and RP, but sadly it’s quite old/laggy, not much appearance customization and simple combat system. Then switch to tera which has no lore >.<, no music, no RP, but awesome combat system and awesome appearance customization. And now GW2, in hope to find something similar to the good aspects of my previous two games.

Since I’m new, I pretty much have no idea about many aspects of the game (you can have more than one guild here, right?). Only a few hints I read here and there.
I don’t fancy solo play x.x
