I did a quick forum search after noticing that the rate of raw lumber of a given tier that needs to be refined into a usable “plank” for artificing is higher than that of other tradeskills respective refinement rate. I can’t seem to see any justification for why it should take 32 green wood logs to make the two base components of a staff not to mention the appropriate inscription’s dowel and fine crafting materials.
So that’s my “complaint”, but to elaborate: generally speaking, I end up with more ore than wood.. not to mention cloth (I can’t imagine tailoring is any easier). So why does it cost 2 copper ore to make an ingot and 3 logs to make a plank?
And now I’d like to know… am I doing it wrong? Is there a good way to get wood that I don’t know? I notice it’s cheaper than ore on the trading post… does it just get used less so I’m supposed to pay for it because gathering is insufficient? If so, I call bull****, but whatever I guess.
Thanks for any feedback, and if “the powers that be” read this… if you thought this through and I just missed it – then cool, but if not… umm why? :P
