Thought this would be common knowledge.
Run a focus
2 Sup monk runes, 2 sup water runes. Use 2 of whatever runes, i dont care.
Use +20% Boon duration foodTemporal Curtain = 22 seconds of swiftness.
20 seconds CD ( + 1 second for the delay between int othe void)Enjoy perma swiftness.
Another bandaid solution that we shouldn’t have to use.
Its not really a band aide if you use those runes for your build. Balancing for mesmers currently means you either run a sustainable build or you sacrifice a small portion of it for more mobility.
I’ve been commanding with my Mesmer for a really long time and i can honestly say that we don’t need a swiftness buff.
For those who say that mesmer is too slow to use without using a temporal curtain speed buff have you ever tried just having a focus in your back pack and switching to it out of combat? Or dropping a chaos storm on your self?
With blink and stealths we’re already an overpowered class, pushing for extra swiftness is really pushing it.

I had the same issue during beta and with other games like Assassins Creed 2 (Console ports usually use more CPU resources then GPU) Sounds like a bottleneck to me. Your graphics card should be able to run it fine. I run a 6870 with 2GB Video ram and i can run the game at maximum graphical settings. with a 3770k Core i7 that goes up to 4.2ghz
The game has probably been optimized since then to use more GPU resources, but from what i can tell its still very CPU dependent. One of my friends can run most games on his pc without a hitch, but as soon as he starts playing gw2 for 15+ minutes his computer just suddenly shuts down (Usually a overheating / CPU issue)
Hey,
Since the update on the 21st / 22nd (Im australian) i’ve been experienced a weird lag phenomenon. Usually when my client lags, my skills all go on que and don’t fire off, i am free to move around and i can still use chat (more or less, somtimes chat doesnt work either). On other peoples end, they see me run into a wall. Within 1-2 minutes this usually fixes its self and it lucky bands my game client back to where it should be. Since the update, it no longer lucky bands to where it should be, my skills remain on que forever however the chat works perfectly fine. Everyone sees me run into a wall and all i can do is run around and.. do nothing. The game doesnt crash or log me out, i have to close the game manually and re-run it. I’ve done a tracert on the remote addresses gw2.exe is connecting too and it drops out after pinging 64.25.32.82. I can play the game for 5-15 minutes before this happens, it seems to be a constant thing. I’ve missed out on getting serveral chests from fractal runs, failed at many jumping puzzles because my character isn’t where hes suppose to be on my client and etc.
This is really frustrating for the other people who play in my house hold aswell and this definately isn’t an ISP problem. This problem only came around after the latest patch.
If anyone else is having the same issue please post here!
I’ve attached my gw2.exe Diag.
Location: Western Australia WA PERTH
ISP: Amnet / Amcom
Server: Yaks bend
EDIT: Running a -repair on my .exe shortcut has seemed to fix it, though im not entirely sure. Havn’t had any lag issues yet.
EDIT2: Didnt work, still having the same issue.

Had the same issue after resetting my client to fix its lucky banding.
The game doesn’t want to seem to catch its self up after my lag spikes and just sits there queing my skills till it logs me out or i reset it manually, resetting my client during a CoF run and bam, cant get back in.
+1 I’m having the same issue on a radeon HD 6870. It use to be in the center around the halloween update last year. A recent update has stuffed it up!
I wasn’t aware that the enemy team could see it, thanks for explaining that. Didnt mean to drag my team down in anyway.
if someone had actually cared to tell me that while i was in game i’d understand why people would be angsty about me using a tag in spvp.

And this is where the community is going guys.
Recently got into the Spvp scene after being a hardcore PvE/WvW player. I use to play Spvp during the beta weekends as i felt playing PvE was a waste of time due to the character wipes. That being said, like most HC wvwers i know how to play my class and i know how to play it well and even tho Spvp has selected class base roles such as ‘Bunkers’ and ‘Roamers’ most PvE players who know how to play can fill those roles easily without much explination.
I’ve played games such as League, Dota, HoN and as far as i can tell their communities suck. You’re having a bad day and you’re not playing your A-game? expect to be reported, even playing a non-ranked match. (Its that bad) Expect to be reported for forces you can’t control such as Internet disconnections Lag and PC problems.
I can see the direction that the current Spvp community is going on and its going to become the elitist kittenry that we see on those MOBA games.
I came into a match and got flamed at for having my Commander tag on, i earned it fairly so i flaunt it, tell me go to back to pve and wvw because of it? Dont be up your self because you’re 10 ranks higher then me, i mean really?
Sure, its easy to get annoyed when someone leaves the match or goes afk during a tourney, but to say stuff like that deserved to be banned is out of the question, specially when we’re talking about FREE TO PLAY tournies.
Being a Pve player, i was the pug in a premade rank 20 team, sure i was nervous, being fairly new to spvp but hey, guess who ended up with the most points? me!, just because im rank 3 and im wearing a ‘pve badge’ doesnt mean im useless.
Please dont become as arrogant as those MOBA communitys. I love Gw2 and i love the players, so lets act responsibly and treat each other with respect no matter what aspect of the game with play.
See you guys in game.
Elementalists are able to target siege on battlements with Dragon Tooth as it doesn’t require having a line of sight to the target. People kittened about the mesmer being able to do it with their Berserkers and it ended up being patched, why not do the same to Dragon Tooth. You can exploit it in the same way that mesmers were able to mess around with their berserkers.
It seems unfair to nerf one class and totally ignore a game breaking skill on another.
Discuss.
I see you found our flame rams. FLAME RAMS FOR THE FLAME GOD.
Also, a call out to CD to come to your spawn on YBBL, we’ll have some fun
Nope, we find it hard to even zergball somtimes.
CD is doing a great job defending whats left in their BL, just dont try taking SE camp, i’ll get ya!
Didn’t see a thread so i thought i would start one.
Keep it civil guys and remember the rules:

Through the use of traits, utility skills and phantasms there is a way for a Mesmer to get 92% Damage reduction. That is calculated before the damage reduction received from any toughness that that particular Mesmer might have. Keeping that in mind using this method I’ve easily done 1v6’s however the small group of people i fought were terrible and under geared.
