The Unyielding Blast trait (VI in soulreaping line) which is suppose to cause the Lifeblast (#1 in deathshroud) to pierce and apply 2 stacks of vulnerability is misapplying 2 stacks of vulnerability to the player while UNDERWATER.
To be clear; it is suppose to apply 2 stacks of vulnerability to the target… it is doing that.
It is NOT suppose to also apply 2 stacks of vulnerability to the player… which it is also currently doing unfortunately.
Karma rewards from events are reduced to single digits almost immediately… changing maps only improves the problem for one or two events and then back down to single digit rewards…
I’ve heard of encouraging players to move to other maps but THAT is ridiculous!
Very simple…. having the gathering nodes randomly relocate EVERY SINGLE TIME you leave and re-enter a map is becoming epidemic and impossible to deal with.
There is a reason that players have created 3rd party websites expressly for the purpose of mapping node runs.
I certainly don’t mind taking the time to go through a map and plot out the location of the nodes I’m interested in, but I do think it’s a reasonable expectation to be able to then take advantage of my efforts by taking my alts thru that same map and not having to repeat that process … for at least one day.
This bug that randomly resets the node locations seems to be getting worse and affecting more and more maps.
Please prioritize correcting this situation … it dramatically and negatively affects play.
Mystic Forge recipes need to be introduced that allow folks with a surplus of one type of ascended crafting material to turn that into a type that they are lacking (with an appropriate loss ratio incorporated of course.)
Example: Don’t have enough Dragonite Ore?… but have more Bloodstone Dust and Empyreal Fragments than you know what to do with?… Combine the two you have along with some component(s) purchased (with skill points and/or coin) from Miyani and get a random, but smaller, quantity of the resource you’re lacking.
Some other relatively expensive components could be incorporated into these recipes as well such as Ecto, Crystalline Dust, Orichalcum, or others…
Something along this line is desperately needed to correct the imbalance of ascended crafting materials for a great many folks whose playstyle and/or playing times prevent them from accessing the content needed for acquiring certain materials.
Because ascended crafting materials are account bound, there is currently no feasible means by which players can address any imbalance in the 3 base materials. (Dragonite Ore, Bloodstone Dust, and Empyreal Fragments.)
It’s frustrating that one of the 3 base ascended crafting materials basically requires large scale groups to make any progress with collecting it…. specifically Dragonite Ore.
Most folks agree that Bloodstone Dust is overflowing… and Empyreal Fragments can at least be acquired as an individual by doing jumping puzzles, or any of a myriad other small encounters with chests associated with them – all easily solo-able.
However, Dragonite Ore requires the defeat of a World Boss, or the flipping of a Temple (including the defeat of a Legendary NPC) which is hardly something an individual can accomplish easily or otherwise…
This has created a significant imbalance of ascended crafting materials for me personally. While I have plenty of Bloodstone and Empyreal materials, I have a serious deficit of Dragonite and due to the fact that most of gaming time takes place during “off hours” I have no real means of correcting this.
Either, this crafting material should be a “possible” result in opening champion containers (sometimes bloodstone and sometimes dragonite for example) OR, perhaps a mystic forge recipe could be introduced that allows folks that have an over abundance of one ascended crafting material to turn that into the type they are missing.
If the results of ascended crafting could be sold I would better understand the need to keep the acquisition the way it is, but with nearly all materials being account bound it makes imbalances in these materials much more glaring, frustrating, and impossible to correct.
Hopefully ANet will see the common sense in introducing some means of balancing out the ascended materials via the mystic forge… otherwise my ascended crafting is basically at a stand still.
