The Ravenheart is trying to establish itself as an Adventurers Society on Piken Square, and we are eagerly looking for members to help us do just that. If you want a hand in creating an friendly and dedicated roleplaying guild, be sure to let us know on our website, through this thread, or poking me in-game. Our active player-base is rather small at the moment, but that’s exactly why I am advertising on this forum. What better place to find great and helpful players?

As a guild for Adventurers, we plan on creating quests and storylines for interested rp’ers, all rewarded with gold or items upon completion. We want to become a hub for adventurers, a place to hang out, gather info, hire swords, and sign up for missions.

Primarily we are going to focus on the PVE side of GW2, but if enough members express an interest in PVP, we will naturally do our best to include that aspect of the game as well.

Ravenheart isn’t just a guild for Guild Wars 2 though. We are a cross-game community, with great interest in many other games. At the moment we primarily play League of Legends and GW2, but very soon we’ll dig our teeth into Neverwinter the MMO as well.

I re-read the GW2 ‘Rules of Conduct’, just in case I had missed something, and seems I did. Section 20 reads:

You may not use any third-party program (such as a “bot”) in order to automate gameplay functions, including playing, chatting, interacting, or gathering gold or items within Guild Wars 2. You may not assist, relay, or store gold or items for other players who are using these processes.

According to this the macros I want to use are in violation of their policy. Or am I totally misinterpreting what it says?

I would certainly like an official reply from GW2 on this matter.

First of all, my apologies if this is not the right forum for posting these kinds of questions, but I can’t seem to find one that fits my ‘issue’ better.

I just got a Razer Nostromo ‘gaming pad’, and it allows me to make macros for any application I can think of – which is extremely nice.

I am wondering if making certain macros for GW2 is in violation of your policies. I am aware that automated gameplay is bannable, but how about macros for rp-emotes, messages, and changing graphic-options on the fly? Would I be likely to get a ban for utilizing macros for these kinds of things?
