Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll open a ticket.

I’m 100% positive my account hasn’t been compromised and that I didn’t transfer servers myself, even though it probably sounds typical of me to say that I’m sure there was no error on my part.

Last year, I stopped playing GW2 and I was on the Gandara server. I reinstalled the game yesterday and to my surprise, when I log back in, I’m on Whiteside Ridge. When I try to transfer to the server I was originally on (and wanted to stay on!) it’s asking me to pay gems.

I never received any confirmation of this server change, and I’d like my characters to be placed back on Gandara without having to pay real money to undo a change I never requested or approved.

What can I do?

I opened a ticket (120828-007381) on 28/08/2012 about my issue. It has been closed without my issue being resolved. I, too, am losing patience. After waiting two weeks and only receiving automated responses, I have to wonder if my issue (GW1 account linked to wrong GW2 account) will ever be resolved or if my new ticket will be closed without any resolution, too.

Responses I’ve received to my ticket were all automated and irrelevant. After receiving a reply telling me I’ll get an update “soon”, the ticket was simply closed.
