New currency to replace skill points that will be in the wallet. You get them from champ bags and other sources. This currency allow you to buy crafting mats that used to require skill points.

Do you have a source for that?

So this new, yet unnamed, currency will replace the cost of skill points points for all items that currently have them as a cost, including superior siege. All of my skill points will be converted into this new currency, so it should work essentially like it does now and I have nothing to worry about.

I would really like some kind of confirmation about this before launch. Hopefully we can get an official from Anet to respond to this specific question. It’s a lot to assume from a couple of lines on the dulfy notes.

I use the racial healing skill on my Sylvari Ele almost all of the time because it heals more than all of the Ele healing skills. That’s the only one I really use.

So, if skill points are going away in HoT, how will we make superior siege? Currently is requires siege masters guides which costs skill points. Will there be an alternative cost for these siege masters guides?

I’m thinking that I probably don’t want the legendary materials they will convert my skill points into. So maybe I should just spend them all on superior siege now, because that is what I generally spend my excess skill points on.

It was data-mined five days ago in the Battle for Lion’s Arch Living Story update that account-bound WXP would be included.

Awesome! That shows that at least they are trying. I suspect something went wrong when they tried to roll it out on the last patch. Hopefully we’ll get it in the patch 1 week from now.

I said something like this a while back and the idea was to give players a feeling of actually getting a reward, instead of something that just magically appears on the right side of the screen..

How lame would the daily feel if you only got 1 item from it? Some days all you get for the daily is a Mystic Coin, Essence of luck, and Karma item. If you didn’t actually receive the karma/Essence items it would feel pretty empty..

One simple fix would an option when you right click on those items to consume all, and it does it quickly and automatically like with the current crafting system. Hopefully you could do it while running around and it would continue consuming the items when you close your inventory if you are doing many.

The benefit of this is it maintains the reward feeling you are talking about, but eliminates the double clicking. If a stack can hold 250 of the items, then every once in a while i would just clear them out with a simple right click and get a boost powerup of a similar feel to the crafting system.

The primary reward of the daily to me is the laurel. I didn’t start doing dailys until about when laurels were released, almost a year ago. The rest is like all the regular loot I salvage into luck and ectos typically.

Can we please invite-a-friend for Wintersday?

I have a friend that I want to invite to a trial. I realize the trial period for Lost Shores ended but will there be a similar trial invite period this time for Wintersday?

If so, then I may be able to get one of my friends into it. I think it would be a good idea from a marketing perspective to offer trials regularly or at least consistently.

See players REAL levels?

Why won’t it show me other players real levels? I understand that it has a green arrow showing if the character has been brought down levels but why can’t I also see their real level? How hard is that to implement in a game? Or am I missing something? Also, add this in WvWvW. You already made it so you can’t see your enemies name or gear, at least let me see their level.
Is there a way to turn this on/off? If so, which I doubt, I’ll feel like a kitten.

I agree for PvE but disagree for PvP or WvWvW. In PvE all the players are playing cooperatively so giving the “player team” better understanding of members relative experience with their character would be nice to know.

For PvP and WvWvW, I think it should work a similar way where you can only see their true level if you are on their team, or maybe keep it hidden like it is now for PvP. My concern is that if players know the true level of their opponents then they can take advantage of the lower level, less powerful, or less experienced players. That may be related to ArenaNet’s the design intention with hiding player names also.
