I had an absolute blast playing against HoD and sometimes JQ this week! HoD is very well organized and once they pick a target rarely will they stop until they have taken it. I just don’t see the same level of tenacity from JQ. Here on SBI we played mostly defense (at least when I was on) except when we finally made an organized push to take SM back from JQ. That 2hr battle between all 3 of us around inner SM and the Lord’s room was very intense and I lagged like I never lagged before. I absolutely agree that playing against HoD has made us a stronger, better and more prepared server. JQ needs to step up their game. If calculations are correct, it will be HoD, SBI, ET this week! Oh the battles that will ensue!
SBI here, I’m not sure exactly what happened at Dreadfall Bay but I know at one point we dedicated a few groups to destroy HODs trebs with retaliation. I don’t think it’s an exploit since it’s an ability, but if ANet decides otherwise we’ll stop.
I’d like to mention something else from last night’s battle. I was at Durios Gulch running supply and repairing it for close to 5 hrs last night as we were in the process of first reinforcing and then fortifying, as we were being double trebbed by HOD and attacked by JQ the instant our walls or gate broke. Could they have had a scout? Sure, but we patrolled the area constantly and didn’t find anyone. Coincidence? I don’t believe in coincidences.
After we successfully wiped JQ, then we were invaded by HOD! It was an intense battle and extremely fun! I refused to sleep last night until I saw DG’s walls and gate fully fortified and secure. Can’t wait to see what tonight brings!
