Also having this issue. EU playing on EU server (Piken Square).

Having the same issue. Have been playing the game since headstart, digital deluxe edition. Relogging doesn’t help.

You were not the only one. I happened to see the glow around this guardian too, even stopped for a minute to try and figure out what it was. I assumed it might have been some kind of bugged visual effect from the Foefire’s Essence he had.

So basically what you are saying is that we should be proud of all the nerfs that are coming our way and the ranger being ranked low (if not the lowest) when it comes to PvP? I am aware that there are people who enjoy taking the challenge of being good while playing an underpowered profession, but I’m sure the majority of players didn’t have this in mind when they chose to main a ranger.
As for the SB being OP prior to the patch, you don’t promote one weapon (LB) by nerfing the other (SB). Rangers were choosing SB over LB for a reason: SB is a fast-paced weapon with good defensive skills and ability to aid in catching the runners. LB skills have always been subpar and you needed to trait for this weapon to become somewhat okay. And while the patch didn’t change the SB skills besides the range part, now you have to choose between putting yourself at a greater risk by being closer to your foe or staying at the max range and having to deal with the LB flaws. SB didn’t need this nerf. LB should have got more love, but not at the expense of the SB.

If you refer to the guild changing home servers, all the upgrades will be tied to a specific server – the one where you got them unlocked. It includes missions and guild buffs. That is to say, if you have a mission available on one server, but you transfered to another server, you won’t be able to start that mission. However, if the guild has at least 1 officer on the old server who can start the mission, the guild can complete it while guesting on that old server. You will get commendations, but the merits will go to the old server guild. Unfortunately, this system is buggy currently: for instance, the guild might fail to get credit for Guild Bounty NPCs, if they weren’t hit by a person from the old server, or the mission might fail altogether, even if all the tasks have been completed.

If you refer to the home server and overflows, you should be able to access all the upgrades without any issues.

I’ve had the same problem for a few weeks now and I’m starting to get tired of it. Earlier I happened to crash during 3-way fights in Stonemist or changing maps, then it got worse. Now my client can crash all of a sudden while I’m running alone. And it happens only in WvW, as it seems. My PC might not be the best when it comes to performance, but I doubt it can’t handle the lower settings. I have also tried repairing, but it doesn’t seem to have any effect. I would like to know, if there’s any solution to the problem, other than trying GW2 on a stronger PC.

Looks like Anet changed it back, so that you can only see someone’s title under his avatar, when you click the character. In my opinion, it was the right thing to do, but I can understand, if some people would want to have a menu option to see the titles of the others.

Well, in the end what matters is your time and how you want to spend it. I like to have a choice concerning my gameplay and I see nothing bad in it. Nobody demands any particular actions from me, I am doing what I consider to be important at the moment. And progression is an essential part of the game and naturally I don’t want to spend 4 times as many hours to bring all my characters up to the same level, as it happens with an ascended gear right now.

I wonder why you assume that all the people who have alts leveled them in the matter of a few hours by crafting and such? I have 4 level 80 fully-geared WvW-ready characters and I have put nearly equal amount of effort and time in every one of them. In a few hours of playing in WvW on one character the gameplay gets repetitive and less fascinating. Moreover, different periods of playing in WvW require from you to fulfill different roles: supporting your group in combat, solo scouting, guarding the towers, etc. Why should I abandon 3 of my characters, limit my playstyle options and lower the amount of help I can offer to my group/server in favor of just one character to get this so-called WvW progression? Is being versatile punishable now? Thus, account-bound progression is clearly a better idea.

I haven’t seen people getting banned for that, but I suppose it’ll be fixed eventually. Most likely you just won’t be able to do that anymore, like they did with the cultural armor – since Oct, 1 transmuted cultural armor prevents opposing races from equipping it.

You can still get any Order’s armor, if it’s just for the looks. If you have a character with the Order of Whispers chosen, buy the hood, transmute it onto some white low level helmet (it should make it account bound) and put it into your bank. Then you can take it out as a ranger and transmute it again on anything you want.

EDIT: The same procedure will work for the Thief starting hood, if you like that more.

Umm…….they hit me for 8-9K and I have 3K hit points. It is a level 15-25 zone. There is no running in and grabbing a box. I have tried. Repeatedly. So 6 level 69 princesses x 9k = you aren’t running anywhere.

Was this Diessa Plateau? Because I had a box of lvl 69 Skritt there yesterday.

This issue is present on all the maps, seems to me. I encountered 31 level Ventari and Skritt in 1-15 zone (Plains of Ashford). And, yes, some boxes in Diessa Plateau spawn 69 level mobs.

I was just with my group about ready to fight the final boss in the Ascalon Fractal when suddenly my entire group was booted. This is the first time it ever happened but it was very frustrating for my entire group. Has this happened to anyone else before? Also is there any way to make sure that this ‘boot’ never happens again?

We had the same issue, which, as I discovered afterwards, was my fault. I used a Repair Canister in the Ascalon Fractal without any idea that it leads to the whole party being booted to LA immediately (such cases have been reported on Reddit). I don’t know, if it was fixed, but I’d refrain from using those.

This is not reliable. We had one disconnected, and although he hadn’t started the party (it appears to influence the whole getting booted to LA incident), we still kicked him. Just in case. And on the last boss of the last fractal the whole party got thrown out to LA. So it’s not a remedy.

The dagger looks nice indeed, would be awesome with a fiery main-hand weapon or some flaming armor pieces. Good luck with your Incinerator! Once you get it, I’m sure you will make use of it.
