I think Engineers are in a really good place atm, and already were before the June 25th patch. But, I play 5 classes at lvl 80 : Mesmer, Engi, Guardian, necro and ranger. I have to say, for me, each one is in a good place in PvE AND in WvW (I just do some FFA sPvP so I wouldn’t take a position here…maybe there is work to do here), I won’t talk for the 3 other classes.
Globally there is just some stuff I would like to see for the classes I play :
- A new way to build a good condition mesmer (or maybe I haven’t tweaked it around enought since the confusion nerf
)
- A new way to show/customise my backpack on my engineer (not sure it’s really that important
)
- Some bugs still need to get fixed
And I think that’s all !
After this all I hope for the game is :
- a new fun class to play
- some mechanic events reworked
- some zones revamp
- some new zone (better than southencove :x)
- some work around WvW maps, etc…
Really, I think that the real emergency for engis is bug fixed and after this I don’t feel it needs more right now. And to be really honest, since the 25th june patch I reaaaaally don’t think we are being ignored :o
Maybe devs don’t answer a lot here, but really… do we need it ?
Being a bomb user in WvW, I’m loving it. But I think bombs are situational.
Against melee class it’s really a great kit. I also use tool kit and elixir gun, so I manage to switch to the more accurate kit for the situation (that’s what make the engi so fun for me
).
I have to say, I don’t care about nonsense… Kits are fun ;D
fun is waaaay superior to logic imo !

I would also change Rending shatter (IV of domination) for I or III, since you’ll get more benefits.
With 10/30/0/25/5 and Rending Shatter, you’ll be doing 6 vulnerability stacks to a single player every 43s, without it, 3 stacks. Not worth it…
The III is really a boost of damage ? Each time I tried it my clones were doing 3 or 4 dmg instead of 0… I guess it’s still better than 0 ^^
My idea with rendering shatter and 15 in domination was to up the duelist damage as much as I could with vulnerabilty, a condition that most don’t bother to purge alone.
But I wasn’t sure it was worth the lost of the 5 in illusions and yeah the CD is rather long, you’re right. I didn’t take that in consideration when traiting it.
I have to think about it… Maybe I’ll skip the domination line for another on…

Anyway, the last couple of days I’ve been playing this build I had very good results
I agree, the big pointer over the head of the real mesmer, plus the fact the real mesmer always appears after his clone is really obvious and make the skill lose his point.
On the other hand, I still see a lot of people stomping the clone before the real mesmer…
I don’t know wath lvl you are on your mesmer, but form my experience, at low lvl phantasm and clones don’t help you a lot… Mesmer is class very trait reliant. It makes lvling before lvl 30-40 pretty slow.
I really hated my mesmer first, pretty disapointed. I found it had low damage output and low survivability.
So I stopped playing it… I took some lvl with crafting and played it again at lvl 35+. Now I love it, I hitted lvl 80 pretty quick and have a lot of fun 
Don’t give up, this class mechanic is really fun to play and very versatile !
Because it reminds me a lot of the beastlord back when I was playing EQ, wich was my main and favorite character 
And I don’t care about Aragorn or Legolas ;D
Ranger is generally “known” to be a ranged class. On other games it’s maybe true, but on GW2 it’s wrong. Ranger, in GW2, is a pet class.
