Okay, that’s probably it, I have no idea if I had previously finished those maps, but it was just a couple things so you’re probably right.

Thanks

I just finished Lion’s Arch and Snowden Drifts and I didn’t receive map completion rewards for either. Is it bugged, or did they chance something for the way that map completion works?

Warning its long

I skipped the beginning for you straight to the stuff about GW2

https://youtu.be/7Qu5ta1E8jY?t=2m34s

Didn’t realize that when recording I dropped some frames, I think with HoT I’ll have to record at 30FPS instead of 60.

TLDR… I like it a lot.

Razor vs Logitech mice, I need some opinions

As the title says, I’m looking at a Razer Naga Hex Wraith Red or a Logitech G502.

After searching online I’ve come to the conclusion the general opinion is:
While the G502 is better built and more durable, the Naga Hex would be better to play an MMO because of the buttons placement.

I’ve also had a look at a wide variety of Mad Catz mice, and although all those buttons look quite useful, it’s another brand famous online for the un-reliability.

Before anyone asks, yes, I’m buying a mouse primarily for Guild Wars 2, not FPSs.

So from those (also the Mad Catz ones) what would be best to play GW2?
I feel like the G502 would be the best choice, I’m just not sure about the button placement on it.

Any opinions on this would be appreciated.

Honestly I’d forgoe a gaming mouse, and instead get a Logitech G13. Though I have that and Logitech mouse, I find that I don’t really use the gaming buttons on it as much as I thought I would because everything is bound to my G13.

Fast track to level 80 for new toons?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

This might have been shared before but I could not find any references, hence my questions:

1. To be able to effectively play in the HoT expansion, must the toon be level 80?

2. If I create a new toon, do I have to go through the same “routine” to level it to 80?

IMHO, it would have been a nice perk for long-time players who have multiple level 80 toons to be able to fast track new ones to level 80 upon creation, or at least to level 50.

Seems like most will “power-level” a new toon to be able to get to HoT quickly, thus not being very helpful in the “old world”.

1.) The HoT expansion is aimed at level 80 characters. There are some changes to rewards and old zones, but the majority of the content is 80.

2.) You mean like this?:

https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Tome_of_Knowledge

These items are awesome, I made an elementalist thinking that they would be the main healing class when the expansion came out, and leveled them to 80. Then druid gets revealed, so I made a ranger, I didn’t think I’d come anywhere close to getting them to 80 by the time the expansion came out, but I dinged 80 yesterday.

PVP dailies are great, you get a book almost every time.

Don’t forget crafting to level up. You can use the gold you have to burn through crafting 1-400 really fast and cheap, I think it nets you around 10 levels per crafting discipline

Don’t forget about those purple things that level your toon up to level 20.

Enhanced Squad UI: Update

What I would like to see, as someone that is looking forward to healing in GW2 (Druid Hype) is health bars over the heads of the members of my squad group.

This is necessary to that the healer will know where to position themselves, unless you’re going back to the stacking and spamming mechanic in which case we don’t need this.

I know that you can see, them now, but its hard to see them now, they blend in really well. I like that the UI fades into the background in GW2, but for some things it just needs to pop out.

Thoughts of a graphic upgrade in the future?

I don’t really think the game needs a graphical refresh, just needs to dump DX9 in favor of a little less CPU impact.

I thought it was hard, very hard, almost impossibly hard, but I had a great time. We ended up skipping Kholer just because we couldn’t get a handle on it. There were times that I know I dodged his pull and still got pulled in, but not a huge deal.

The only problem I REALLY had was the we wiped on the Gravling King, and the guy that was protecting us died. If that happens when you res him for your next attempt he runs in like a maniac at half health so we had to focus on healing him up at the beginning, was tough but after about 4 tries we got it.
