I think the biggest problem with the ventari skill line is that it keeps giving you +% healing to allies… when exactly two legends out of the five have anything to do with that and one of them is mostly regeneration pulses. I’d reverse the tablet control and have it follow, with the #6 skill working like ranger’s “Guard!” to specify points.
And for god’s sake, have it do something other than heal. Healing is cool and all, but you have to trait in CC and kitten.

With trait options to heal, heal, heal and heal.
He’s too focused, and focused on something that’s not very useful most of the time, at that.
All I want is the class to function without full herald. It very much seems like it wasn’t intended to be played without glint pooping boons through the mists all over your allies.
The other thing I’d like to see is some crossover on traits in general to ‘suggest’ builds. Like “+150 Ferocity when dual wielding AND +150 healing (assuming the healing works with lifesteal) when using a two-hander”. You can’t use both sides at once, and either side is useful under certain circumstances, but they’ll really shine in builds that use both.
Some suggestions
“Might when you use Assassin skills, Retaliation when you use Dorf skills”
“Copy out conditions when you switch TO Meowmix, cleanse some conditions when you swap TO Ventari”
“Staff orbs grant might, blasting fire fields grants you (and only you) Vigor”
“Whenever you gain resistance, you gain retaliation”
Also obligatory whine about some skills to swap out for the legends, or more legends.
Staff is literally melee shortbow with actual AOE instead of endless burst finishers. Consider the following:
>Specialising in area damage
>AoE weaken
>AoE blind
>Skill 3 is another free dodge
>Skill 5 is another teleport
Can we get an alteration to shortbow 1 and pistol 1 so they’re not the worst autos in the game, please?
Three suggestions-
The first is to make the weapon summon actually an attack (like the one oddball warrior trait with banners). Shield drops down in a protective bubble, sword damages and burns a single target, etc. Immediate value that then sticks around and does stuff for you. Make one a stunbreaker for funsies.
The second would be to hybridize in necromancer- The command skill is the only part with a cooldown, and the weapons use it on death. Otherwise, they hang around and automatically do their job (removing condis, knocking over, etc.) with no time limit, though they can still be killed. Sort of like flying signets that burn things.
I do love the idea of running a shattered aegis build with Retreat + Shield 4 + bunch of spirit weapons, though.
Third suggestion is to steal DH’s schtick a little- Tie the spirit weapons to the virtues (possibly leaving some out in the cold, I don’t know) and add functionality fun that way. Sword attacks for twenty seconds and burns things… and if you hit Virtue of Justice, it goes nuts with the fire fields. Shield attacks for twenty seconds and blocks shots… and if you hit F3, it stuns everything around it. That sort of setup. Alternately, just tie them in universally: F1 gets you AOE burning around all your dudes, F2 gets you condi removal and heals, etc.
