Everyone I’m playing with or talking to is having ‘rubber banding’ issues, where they are appearing a huuuge distance away from where they think they are, their skills aren’t working, etc.
Are the servers having issues, or is something wrong with yesterdays patch?
did path 3:
- spider is a lot stronger but has way less health. great change. her channeled immobilize/damage ray is a cool idea. condiremoval followed by a dodge seems to work.
- kohler was interesting (re-summoned his adds once or twice). seems weaker now, in terms of health, as he died rather quickly (even though our group did very low damage overall). maybe now all the cowards won’t skip him anymore ;-)
- burrows spawn those tunneling gravelings which knock you down when they surface. great addition
- sigil of bloodlust didn’t seem to work (without my 25 stacks I couldn’t kill a burrow with icebow, was a bit harder)
- hatchlings add bleeds like crazy, they actually are dangerous now
rumblus
- still calls rocks down, though the red circles are much bigger and nearly unavoidable
- warmaster grask summons a large shield against those rocks => safespot
- auto-attack adds several conditions and 10 stacks vulnerability, dodge reccommended
- other attack knocks you back
one of our group rage-quit after we wiped the first time at the boss so we proceeded with only 4. worked well and it seems the fight is now faster but you have to be on your toes a bit more, since the normal attacks are pretty dangerous now.
Awesome, I’m excited to try this path out!
Still looking for recruits on the Crystal Desert Server!
I just wanted to reply to the post from Gaile to point out that the blacklist is actually more extensive than was outlined in her post.
I understand, and that seems to be true. There are a nearly-infinite number of potential passwords, so hopefully everyone can choose one that suits him or her and all will be well — and more secure — in the future.
And to top it off I can’t even create a support ticket because that system is broken too.
The system is operating just fine. If anyone is having difficulty setting a new password, please Go here and submit a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page.
I had to create an entirely different support account in order to submit a ticket, and I’ve gotten no response.
So instead of spending a few minutes playing GW2, I spent a half an hour getting progressively more upset.
Any chance that this issue can be resolved soon, because if I have to wait till Thursday to hear from someone I’m probably going to flip.
I can’t even log in using the rejected one.
I created a new support profile and submitted a ticket, and I’m hoping for a quick resolution. As is, I’m fuming.
And to top it off I can’t even create a support ticket because that system is broken too.
facepalm
The force password change is broken.
I did exactly as you requested I do, and now I can’t log into the game. At all.
Apparently the new password I picked doesn’t work, and yes, to forestall being asked, I am 100% certain I’m typing it in correctly.
Come on Anet, this can’t be this hard. First you ruin dungeons, and now this?!
Le Bump!
I’ve posted on a few forums and not gotten a response =(
We’re an offshoot of the Toxin Gamers which is a group of friendly, professional and fun people to game with. But the Toxin players don’t focus on GW2, so we’re a little lacking when it comes to manpower.
We’re looking to be an active PvE guild, and do dungeons and guild missions as often as possible.
We have Teamspeak 3, a website and forum, Allied guilds, etc.
So if your looking for a friendly, dedicated group to join and game with, join us!
We need you as much as you need us!

I tend to let the discussion threads drive themselves, so that we here at Anet can watch them and what the players say without directly influencing what goes on in here. We do read this thread though, and I actively browse it when I get moments to do as such.
One of the things I’d like to address is the question of “Why would you do only half the update?” implying that phase 1 and phase 2 should have been rolled out together and made into one huge update some time further down the line.
The main reason is because res-rushing was a problem to the entertainment and longevity of dungeons, and was never an intended mechanic for players to be able to do. Our explorable dungeons were billed from the start to be harder content that required teamwork and would test your character prowess. Res rushing meant that players didn’t need to be coordinating with each other or have character/class mastery – they could just throw themselves at content until they eventually completed it, incurring armor repair costs and having a negative experience as a result.
I PUG dungeons quite frequently, and I often saw people not helping downed players, and not even trying to res people. They would just die and run back while the rest of the team held Agro, and this would cycle between players until the boss finally died.
People really didn’t have to learn boss mechanics or communicate with each other to figure things out. That was the inherent problem with res rushing and why it had to be removed.
Res rushing had to be resolved. Dungeons can be completed without res rushing, so we know the content isn’t impossible. It’s hard, and we’re watching carefully to identify places that may still be unfair. Anti res-rushing was going to be an update no matter what, independent of any other actions we wanted to do with dungeons. It only became a “Phase 1” when we decided we wanted to tell players about upcoming boss changes to dungeons, which we are calling “Phase 2.”The boss and monster re-designs/improvements are something we have wanted to do since launch, and we want to include the community in the process. There’s room to improve, and we want to make things better. We are looking at each dungeon individually and doing what we can to make things more interactive and entertaining while staying true to our promise that dungeons will be tougher content that requires coordination.
So essentially, you intentionally destroyed the one thing about Guild Wars 2 that kept the majority of casual players coming back.
This was not a good move. Your intentions may have been good, but you’ve ruined dungeons.
I have several characters that I’ve level from 35 to 80 pugging dungeons. I’m not the best player in the world, but we still managed to get them done.
Since the update I havn’t completed a single !#$()*!#$)(!@#$) Dungeon. So thank you. *YOU may have felt the dungeons needed to be fixed, but it doesn’t appear that the player base has the same opinion. I certainly don’t. You’ve RUINED the dungeons.
Change Them Back.
Or give me a !@#$ing refund.
The new WP system is freaking AWFUL.
Dungeons were the only things keeping me and my friends playing GW2 and you’ve ruined them.
Nothing Needed To Be Fixed. Change them back!!!!
Got some positive feed back and asks for this post! Awesome!
Just a heads up, if your curious about me, or the guild, you can watch me stream (most days) at twitch.tv/pl4gu3d0g
Thanks!
Hello!
I’m recruiting for my guild on the Crystal Desert server, Hollow Victory.
We have 100+ members, vent, all permanent guild upgrades, we have a constant karma/gathering/magic find bonus.
HV has some very knowledgeable and friendly players, if you have questions or need help there is always someone online to assist you.
We are a PvX guild; so we have daily PvP/WvW groups and daily PvE groups. We need more members to make more successful (ie, organized) guild WvW Zergs, and it wouldn’t hurt to have a large community doing constant dungeon runs.
Message me with questions or for an invite!
Thank you for your time!
Am I allowed to bump my own posts? =/
Hello folks, my guild Hollow Victory [HV] is looking for more active players to join us on Crystal Desert.
We’re looking to get a strong WvW/PvP group, although you don’t have to be ‘good’ at PvP to participate. If your willing to work with the team, than you’d be a wonderful asset to us!
We’d also like to get more dedicated PvE players in the guild so that we can run more dungeons, more often.
We also have some of the niceties, Guild Armor/Weapons, and Guild Bank, Vent, etc. Ain’t we shiny ^^
If your interested, please mail me in game! Thanks for your time!
Maybe make it so that when people who aren’t on your friends list send you mail, it costs them money.
If I remember correctly, EVE Online has a system like this, and it even allows players to set the cost of the cost of sending them mail. I would imagine that if players made it so that non-friends mailing them had to spend 10g a pop, the problem would quickly solve itself.
Just a crazy idea. Later.
