Hi everyone where do i start .. i just finished on lvling my thief to 80 a few days ago. I was using cd build with full set of carrion exotic and same for jwelery. Now i wanna change this build to a more power oriented way. I bought the following items:
- valkyrie armor and leggings for the vit bonus
- helm,shoulders,boots and gloves all bersek for increased precision and pwr

This is all i got atm cose i runned out of cash Now i wanna say what i want to buy next:
- 6x rune of the wurm
-2 x bersek daggers with + crit chance rune that 5%
-bersek neck
-2x valkyrie earrings
2x valkirie rings

I would like to change the secondary stats on accesory to pwr,prec,crit dmg instead of pwr/vit

The traits i use are :
-deadly arts 25 points (VI/III)
-crit strikes 30 points (IV/I/XI)
-trickery 15 points (III)
I will mostly solo pve and dungeons with some friends, www only for minthly achievments

If u can add something or change something please feel free to do it I really need some opinions from more experienced players.I realky like the thief class thats the reason i left my warrior Thanks in advance and have a nice day all

yes in organized pvp … but if u were a lvl 60 and fight against an lvl 80 .. its proper that u die faster difference of items, lvl etc mostly of the people that are complaining im pretty sure that they dont have a tanky gear , theyre full glass canon , they are under lvl 80 , they dont know how to play their classes the possibilities are so many … the point its that anyone complaining has 1 of this issues … none its perfect i get it but i dont think thieves are god like or OP … there are good thieves and lame thieves and so on … Cheers

So 1st why u all want for thief to get nerfed .. so it can take the position of ranger atm.. thief doesnt evolve to strong in PvE if not played well so nerfed it will get only to his doom .. and cloth classes whats the problem ? u get 1 shoot thats awsome .. if someone played Aion assasin i hope u get it cloth classes if not played well gets 1 shoot boom dead … if u also get 1 shoot u are not playing ur class correctly so dont cry here for things that are meant to be this way. I also wanna say that i just started a thief only lvl 6 so u wont comment that im a fan bla bla and cr*p like this like 80 % of u does when they feel attacked .. I5 3470 , gtx 560 ti fpb , 8 gb ddr 3 Corsair Vengeance all settings set to High , just shadows medium and reflection sky and terrain and i can pull in PvE 60-63 fps , WvW big zerk fights 25-45 fps I have V-sync On ^^

Same thing was happening to me also … alot of time waiting for loading … all changed when i bought my Samsung SSD 830 series … Queensdale town 10 sec loading , Lions Arch 12 – 13 sec and other places 2-3 sec ^^ hope it helps

Hello peeps ! .. i just added new hardware .. i just passed from Phenom 2 x4 955 BE to Intel i5 3470 and i just wanna say that its a big difference … my settings are set to High only shadows medium and reflection set to terrain and sky , res 1920×1080 and i can pull 25 – 45 fps in WvW on big zerks , outside 60-62 fps allmost constant. My other specs are 8 gb ddr 3 @1600 and evga gtx 560 ti fpb … so u can compare ur FX to my CPU .. here the price of FX8120 its the same with I5 3470 ( 220 eur ).

:)) just wanna say that i have Samsung 128 gb 830 series and it rocks on gaming :P super loading times and suppa fast

It worths believe me yesterday bought an Samsung 128 GB 830 series and the loading times are like this in LA 12-13 sec , Queensdale town 7-8 sec and the rest of the map its like 3-4 sec .. but a SSD really worths if u allready have a good CPU,GPU and the SSD should be your last investment :P

Also i want to mention that my CPU and GPU are at stock clocks

Questing: 58-63 fps

1 week ago i had another PC : phenom2 x4955 BE and same video card , RAM and another HDD not the SSD that one i bought it with the new CPU and MOBO and i was able to hit 60 + fps not stable but with shadows off , reflections off and post procesing on low

Now sincerly .. since 2 days ago i had an Phenom IIx4 955BE@3,8 Ghz, Evga gtx 560 ti , 8gb ddr3@1600 Corsair and on best appearance in towns 30-35 max , outside pve a max of 40 maybe 50 fps , On events 20-25-30 fps max … who says they play at 50 + fps with Phenom yeah maybe at medium settings .. ive changed reflections off, shadows off and post procesing to low and yes i managed 60 – 70+ fps but not stable and on events even with this settings theyll drop to 40 max..
So now i bought an Intel 3470 Ivy and a new motherboard ofc and i play the game all settings on high except shadows – medium and reflections – Sky and Terrain and it can pull 80 -90 + fps PvE , 30 – 60 + fps events depends on the scale of the event but the minimum its 30 and on WvWvW 25 – 40 fps but all stable. I wanna mention that i play the game at 1920×1080 and i havent tried to OC the cpu yet even if its not a K it can go up to @4 Ghz :P… Have a nice day peeps !

same problem here … since 2 days ago when i had my phenom ii 955 be the loading times were good … now i bought an i5 3470 ivy and the loading times are a bit higher .. the game runs really smooth on HIgh settings im very content about my new cpu .. but theres a problem on the loading

What i can tell is that .. until yesterday i used a phenom iix4 955, 8gb ddr3 , gtx 560 ti fpb from evga and to get good fps i disabled shadows, reflection and post procesing on low and i was gettin like 50 – 80 fps on questing and 25 – 40 on events .. now i bought an I5 3470 Ivy with same video card and same Ram and im playin on high specs with 60 – 80 + on world and in Lions Arch i get 40 – 50 fps … conclusion its that the game its heavy bound on CPU … even if some ppl said that its not anymore. Have a nice day ppl :P

Phenom IIx4 955@3,8 Ghz , 8 GB DDR3@1600Mhz , Evga gtx 560 ti fpb and i can get 40 – 60 + all max out ingame questing and events. I Tweaked the settings a bit Shadows on low and post procesing on low since on high it gives a weird bloom and i can get 60 – 80 + fps depends on the zone im on. Im very happy of my old crappy Phenom that it still can pull some good fps from most of all games at max settings so .. now we just wait to see some engine improvments from Anet and some certified drivers from Nvidia ^^ Have a nice day

Im usin Phenom IIx4 955 BE @ 3,9 Ghz, 8GB ddr3 Corsair Vengeance@1600Mhz, Evga Gtx 560 ti FPB @1gb and the auto detect sets all to high so .. my guess its that i can run the game at smooth frames … im gettin like 50 – 60 fps questing , 25 -35 fps during events but it still doesnt feel right … ive tweaked the setting a little post processing on low cose on high it just gives an annoying blur and set the shadows to low and now i can get 80 + fps questing and 35 – 60 fps on events. I havent try WvsW yet .. but my opinion its that the game engine needs a little more improvment and we need some Certified drivers from Nvidia.. Have a nice day all
