Chasing the Dawn [DAWN] is recruiting!

Hello hello! Chasing the Dawn is a brand new casual PvE guild now recruiting members! We are primarily a mental illness/LGBT+ safe space guild, but we welcome all players looking for a friendly and supportive in-game community, whether veterans or newbies. Though our focus is PvE, we hope that this will be a chance for players to share their knowledge and learn about other gameplay types, like WvW and PvP. Overall, it’s just a supportive group of people looking to have fun in Tyria.

Information:

•the guild is NA based, but we have several EU players and would love to support both regions
•no rep or activity requirements
•HoT is not required
•we have a free Discord chat server available for the guild, but it’s not required (message the leader/officers for the link!)
•as a safe space guild, we ask that you remain sensitive and respectful in chat—if someone is uncomfortable, please listen to them
•you are not required to have a mental illness or be part of the LGBT+ community, and you don’t have to openly discuss it if you are; we just want this to be a place where you feel safe from discrimination
•harassment and abuse of other guild members or members of the community, as well as hate speech and excessive profanity, will not be tolerated

The main goal of this guild is to give people an in-game family where they can feel valued and supported, and just have a lot of fun with a great group of players. I look forward to seeing our guild expand as we work together and make something to be proud of.

Hi there I guess I’ll add my name here ‘case anyone wants two friends :P I’m super casual, not the most knowledgeable player out there, but hey if anyone wants to frolic through PvE or goof around in more competitive things then I’m up for it! My main character’s a charr warrior named Catsin and I hang out in Darkhaven NA server. Also, if anyone were to ever want to go exploring just to take screenshots, I would be 100% there. Just sayin’

Let me give a quick disclaimer that I’m not an expert on this, since I didn’t really have any personal story chapters on the go before the patch, but I’ll try to help. From what I’ve gathered, I think if you were in the middle of a chunk of the story, you just stay on whatever part you were supposed to do. Since you went to a new level set though (60s), you might have to activate that chunk of the story?

The best I can say is to go to the Hero window and go to the personal story tab. There, choose the latest chapter you have unlocked and scroll all the way down where it lists the individual steps. The scrolling part kind of threw me off at first—things are kind of hidden now. But that should let you figure out what’s going on.

The only other thing I can think of is that the storyline chapters you did before the patch (Priory, Claw Island)—might’ve been made a part of the lvl 60 chunk in the patch, so now you’ve already finished it and have to wait for the lvl 70 chunk? I’m not positive.

It may be dorky, but it sounds super cool Yeah, I’m not generally one to socialize, but GW2 seems different. There are more nice people or something. I’m not suuuuper experienced (I’ve never done a fractal either :P), but hey, whatever we don’t know, we could always figure out together But I think we can play together because of megaserver? Or we can guest, at the very least. Anyways, I’ll talk to ya in game!

So with the free trial underway and lots of new players coming into Tyria, I thought it might be fun to make a list of people who are willing to help out the newbies these next few days!
