Guild Wars 2

I have been playing GW since a little while now, but only very casually. I only have one character – rather low level engineer doing mostly PvE – and didn’t have enough spare time to try the other classes.

Thing is, in every other MMO I played I always been more of a “pet class” player. It’s not really for gameplay reason, I just always liked having someone (or something) else with me, and it became kind of an MMO habit I guess.

Now, I was wondering which you guys think is the most interesting pet class to play in guild wars 2 ? I know the necromancer, the mesmer and the ranger all have more or less persistant pet, but I don’t know about the different mechanics and how much the class actually relies on pet combat. If any of you could shed some light on this for me I would really appreciate it as it would save me a lot of time, and time is a very scarce ressource for me these days.

let’s start by saying that I am a VERY CASUAL MMO player. I started the game by trying the Mesmer, which had what sounded like interesting mechanics to me. I guess they are very interesting to play but it’s just too much management for me, I’m looking for something simple yet fun to play. I really just wanna kill time and explore the world, see the lore and story etc…

I’m not the kind of guy who’s gonna have multiple max level characters, I’ll just have one, level it to max and maybe to some PvP after. So, what would you guys say are the most simple classes to play without becoming boring ?

A few days ago I created a topic on another forum, inquiring about who was everyone’s favorite charr sparring partner you pick at the beginning. Thinking back, I regret not asking which legion was everybody’s favorite so I’ll just do that now.
