Before I added my bit, I had to say how refreshing it is to play a game that rewards cooperation. It is a beautiful thing, and a true first. No petty squabbling over resources, no unfair competition to get some sort of differential advantage, and it is built-in to avoid such things. I embrace this way of doing things, and absolutely love it. Compliments out of the way, I wanted to add a wish list just to get the idea going:
I know the game is new, and that this is fanciful, but it adds variety, and makes things a lot more fun for a lot of us:
Custom emotes. I know of one other game that does this, and I don’t see why Guild Wars 2 couldn’t take a page out of the book of success. (We all know the major MMO games do.)
Example (Syntax) “/e wave waves hello to everyone, and smiles.” The character would wave, and the emote would show “Arthrand waves hello to everyone, and smiles.”
Moods:
/relaxed (Normal)
/angry
/sad
/grave (might also be solemn, or serious)
/happy
/scared
These would affect the disposition of the characters.
And this is something I consider “added fluff” that is really nice, but not overwhelmingly important. After the big stuff is dealt with, these kinds of things would be welcome by a lot of RP’ers:
Having environments where characters could sit in a tavern, and be waited on while they talked about whatever could add a lot of immersion. Drinks that are sipped over x-amount of time (10-second chug-10 minute sip) which would have a waiter/waitress returning, etc. It would add a lot of ambience.
Chairs, couches, etc. That can be interacted with/realistically utilized.
Anyway, thanks for reading.
Fair Winds,
Arthrand
