It will run as Anet has announced GW2 for Mac, but HOW will it run is another different story…

if it’s even playable at 2880×1800 even at lowest settings I’ll be very surprised. RMPBs aren’t what I call a powerful laptop lol.

Come on, shut already this ‘lololol dat laptop sux’ because it’s not an ultra expensive Clevo based on a 980X.

That laptop is more than enough to play GW2 on medium at playable framerates. Don’t underestimate the power of the GTX560M, and when the CPU kicks in the Turbo Boost (which is most of the time playing GW2), it is more than enough for the game.

Now, don’t expect steady 60 FPS OP. Disable Antialiasing, disable optimal filtering, and put rendering on native. The rest can be medium/high no problem.

@CBuzz: The processor WILL Turbo. i7s have Hyperthreading, remember? Windows will most likely place GW2 on two physical cores and two virtual threads, allowing the processor to turbo those two cores being used.

And even if all the four cores were being utilized, keep dreaming about them being at 100% load.

Your processor is killing the entire rig. I’ve got an X6 1055T @3.6GHz too, and compared to an identical rig using an i5-3550, I get on average 25 FPS less on busy environments and 15 FPS less on a normal PvE instance.

All of this with a HD6950, everything maxed out including supersampling.

That’s a good solution, but if you could simply put it inside the character equipment tab, you wouldn’t need to use up a full bag to store a minipet, or a couple of trinkets (for people like me, who don’t have stuff that’s permanently on the inventory).

I think that adding a Minipet slot to the equipment tab would be marvelous, since right now carrying a minipet is a pretty big hindrance.
Not from the point of the inventory slot it takes up, but from the point that when you compact the inventory and the minipet changes the slot it is in, it will get stowed.

Also, when you deposit collectibles, since the Minipet is a collectible it gets stored into the bank.

It is not a game breaking issue, but it takes way too much work to carry a Minipet on the fields (where you constantly gather/store stuff/compact inventory), which IMO could be fixed just by adding one slot on the equipment tab where it would go and stay there until you removed it.
