Although I too am curious about Restorative Illusions. Does it stack with the earlier trait “Mender’s Purity”? If so that would basically make Shattered Conditions superfluous.

I’m looking for a build that’s fairly exchangeable or easily adaptable between PvE, Dungeons, and WvW. One thing that I’ve noticed for the first and the last is that mobility can be a pretty serious issue for the Mesmer. However, and I know people always rave about it, I hate the focus. I know it has uses, but I would rather use a sword or a pistol offhand anyday – I just find them more useful in combat. So, what alternative do I have?

I think the Centaur runes combined with mantra of recovery make the skill about five times more useful then it is by itself (combine it with Mender’s Purity and it’s crazy useful). However, I really don’t want to put 30 power in my build in order to get the 3x cast for it because so many other traits are useful (and I find the other mantra skills fairly lacking). Is it still viable with only 2 casts? Are there any other potential routes? Opinions would be appreciated!
