Do what above says: enter your task manager.
THEN, click over to the “processes” tab.
There will be a process called “GW2.exe*32” running.
End the process and reopen the client.
It’s annoying, but it’s the only thing that works ATM.
Bump~! I’m kind of desperate here…
Here’s more info.
Processor: AMD A4-3400 APU with Radeon HD Graphics 2.70 GHz
RAM: 4.00 GB (3.49 free)
System Type: 64-bit Operating system
I meet the requirements to play GW2 fine.
I have a few out of date drivers (most are minor and wouldn’t affect GW2), most notably AMD RADEON HD6410D graphics.
I’ve tried making a new folder for GW2 and putting everything in there, but the same thing happens when I try to launch.
I’ve never played Guild Wars before, so bear with me! ^^;
So I bought the retail copy of GW2 yesterday.
After about three hours of installing the game from the discs, I finally got to the launch screen.
I logged in, and launched the game, but I got an error.
So I gave up and decided to try again later.
I tried it again today and I got the exact same thing…

Etc. Etc.
I’ve tried running w/out a firewall, running as an admin, redownloading the client, etc. and nothing works.
I’m using McAfee anti virus if that helps any. :|
