Mallyx utility skill 3 creates a field that teleport mobs around, it is the players that are displacing them.
Strange, I participated in the stress test, created three characters and played through the beta and didn’t receive and single chest.
Hmmm… do you have deluxe edition? I asked few friends and only ones that had beta invite AND deluxe edition got this mails.
Yes, I do have the deluxe edition.

I can’t believe these idle animations were not put back in the game by now.
The reason it was removed (apparently) that there was a few cutscenes in the living story season 1 where Marjory and Kasmeer were talking to one another, but they were often stretching and kicking the ground while in conversation.
Yeah, it was immersion breaking, but I fail to see how removing these idle animations for every female human player as a bandaid was a good idea to fix this minor problem.
Item: Tribal Vestsments (Chest Piece)
Race: Charr
There is a lot of clipping involved with this armor piece. Not with other armors, just with itself.
The top has two parts that clips with the body on a permanent fashion, others appear when in certain idle animations or by moving.
The biggest offender are the arm braces, the arms clip through them constantly, wheter its running, idling or fighting, there’s always skin/fur poking through them.

Human Female Heavy Armor
Tier 1 Cultural shoulders (Commander’s Shoulderplates) clip through the body when stopping after running forwards (which happens quite a lot in this game)
Here is a gif of this issue attached.

The magnet pull from the tool kit has a sound bug as well.
Whenever the human female does her special idle animation with the greatsword (holding it vertically than putting her hand on the blade), the wrist spins around like crazy.
The following gif will show you the animation error (gif is quite heavy)

(doesn’t happen on female norn)

I don’t understand what this has to do with anything ? The top of one foot is misshaped on human females while the norn and sylvaris are fine.
This is still an issue after the Halloween patch.
Greetings fellow players,
I was wondering, if I buy Eternity through the tp and bind it, will it count only for one legendary in the achievement, or three ?
Thank you !
Very good, also would you be so kind to look into this matter with the outfit as well ?
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Raiment-of-the-Lich-human-female-ankle-broken
Thank you Curtis.
On norns and sylvaris it’s totally fine, but on human females, an ankle is distorded and under certain angles there is a sizable spike protruding from the foot.
From what I noticed of the pvp chinese tournament on twitch, the human females on their client also don’t have the other idles.
I come to the conclusion that when Anet changed the western client to the chinese one code-wise last feature patch, either they didn’t bother fine tuning the little details like this one or didn’t want to, for parity.
So it’s not really a bug, it’s disabled. But I hope it will be changed for our version of the game.

I didn’t read the first four pages but if there is one constant since launch, it’s that Anet don’t listen one bit about any demands concerning armor looks. I have never ever seen one reply from a Dev about armor looks not one. Yeah it turns me off too but I’ve given up on this subject. The old skirt pants trench coat and skimpy looks post we’ve seen them all except Anet.
Don’t assume that because there is a bunch of people asking for less skimpy armors that it is representative of the majority of the playerbase, or even most of this forum.
There was quite a popular strawpoll thread a few months back on this very forum asking people here their preferences in terms of armors. In the end, it basically shows that those who want non-skimpy armors are just much louder.
Issue #1 Embroided pants (light armor) on human females have an annoying visible seam at the back (front is fine) on every single armor that shows bare back but the Embroided Coat
Issue #2 A weird graphical artifact has appeared one or two patches ago on the back of the tier 3 medium human female armor. A sort of squarish glitch that changes color occasionnally on different angle/lighting conditions. on the lower back.

I don’t have crashes, but I did very often have lag spikes every day for the last week or two.
For example, I see my party in dungeons or fractals suddenly start running against the walls doing nothing for 5-15 seconds, than everything plays in super fast motion when the lag spike is over.
Can’t play pvp much, when these lag spikes occur, I often find myself dead when it goes back to normal.
My resource monitor shows a great deal of huge spikes for absolutely no reason.
Location: Quebec, Canada
Get the pattern here? I’d imagine that most people playing the game probably haven’t even noticed the missing idles. Or care too much about them. Why? Because they’re too busy not standing there watching their female human do absolutely nothing.
The fact that this thread exists shows that people noticed it. And actually there was quite a big reddit thread about the subject a few days ago.
http://www.reddit.com/r/Guildwars2/comments/2g0jyy/idle_animations_appear_to_have_been_reduced_in/
Just sayin’.
Also, if an actual moderator has a problem with how this thread keeps getting bumped, I’m sure he/she’ll intervene. If you have a problem personally with this thread, you are free to ignore it, but the people posting here certainly do not answer to little old you if they wish to bump it.
(edited by Ashariel.8490)
Ah, well, hopefully it will be fixed in the next patch.
This just comfirms that people will NEVER be satisfied whatever anet does. This kittenstorm of profanity comming their way just because they removed human female idle animation? Are you serious?? That’s why we can’t have nice things.
Why would people be satisfied of the removal of idle animations ?
Anet, please don’t mess with the player character, especially when people are used to their character for a long time, it’s quite an important rule in MMO territory.
Bring back the missing idle animations.
This is a PERFECT example of how you just can’t please everyone all the time.
Some people hate the idle animations, other people like them.
Rock and a hard place.
Well, the problem here is that there’s only one idle left. So it’s kinda silly.
Agreed, now it’s the same one constantly on repeat, quite annoying. I just don’t get the reasoning in removing them by Anet.
Yes, let’s remove an entire idle animation just to accomodate two NPCs we see for an hour tops.
Anet, what the hell.
Revert that crap, my character is more important than your two lame npcs.
Let give my terrible luck a shot
Dear Josh, what about armor and weapons our characters are currently equipped with in pvp ? Since after the patch, our armor will be replaced by our PvE version, will equipped PvP armor be unlocked in the wardrobe or will they be lost (ie: should I strip naked all my characters in pvp and put the skins in the locker ?)
For instance, Orichalcum and Ancient nodes and Rich nodes can only be harvested once a day per character
It is once per day per character per map shard.
Nodes respawn per character, allowing multiple characters to mine the same node.
*However, you can only mine the equivalent node once per character per day across all servers.
*For example, if you mine two Frostgorge nodes on your home server, until reset, you will not find any nodes in Frostgorge on guest server. Similarly, if you mine only one node, when you guest, you will only be able to find one other node to harvest.
*Above note is, however, untrue for the Karka hive node on Southsun Isle.
A few answers:
- Gathering nodes are still randomized on every map instance.
Gathering is an important part of income for many players, this change now negates it and the use of infinite gathering tools that you sell.
You cannot expect people to run around trying to find these nodes everytime they enter the map if they change locations constantly.
I do not know the impact such a change will have on the economy, but the supply of these gatherable materials will surely plummet when these maps will be affected by your megaserver implantation.
I humbly suggest you try to find a solution to this. Me, being quite an hardcore gatherer for a long time, this change completly kittens me over.
So, can I have some clarification as well on gatherable nodes ? Will their locations pretty much be randomized everytime I enter the area now since I probably never will be on the same “instance” ?
Blackgate just did it again.
Still, Anet, don’t make achievements like this one again in the future for living story please, it’s infuriating
Great, an achievement for 1%
Six Minutes to Knightfall STILL bugged.

Christ, even with the 25% reduced health, it seems only TTS (or desolation) is able to kill them in less than 6 minutes still. The fastest I’ve been since is in JQ main in 8 minutes.
This achievement is awful.

These crashes started a few updates ago, I think around the tower of nightmares. I crash very, very often in big events, like the actual one.
If I lower everything to minimum, I never crash, but when I increase my graphics, it just happens, randomly. I tried to pinpoint which graphical option might cause it, but I was unsuccesful in pinpointing the culprit.
I don’t even have fps issues, I run at around 30fps in big zerg fights.
I also did a -repair, didn’t change a thing.
My pc specs:
i5 3570k OCed at 4,5ghz
Nvidia GTX 670 (running latest drivers)
8gb ram
ASRock Z77 Extreme4

One of the latest exclusive hairstyle to makeover kits doesn’t move as it used to when it was released (the one with the flower). The hair at the back of the head used to move when… well… moving (basically had physics) ! Now it is all static, glued to the back of my character and the texture stretches often in multiple character animations.
Even in the makeover kit when selecting the hairstyle, the hair moves around when spinning the character, but no more in-game, showing it’s not supposed to be immobile.
Please fix this, I paid for this hairstyle.
The human female flower hair is indeed broken. I think it broke when the tower of nightmares was introduced.
Tengu and Largos
The norn dance (tested only on a female character) has a really weird animation bug, there’s a sequence in the dance where the character spins, but there’s a few frames of animation that makes the head twist the opposite way.
Makes quite for an horrific sight ! :P
The best way to test this out (apart from getting hit by a mob and running away with your weapons sheated (must sheathe them manually) until the animation switches to the out of combat one) is running with weapons sheated at the start of the Snow fractal.
While having the frozen debuff, you will technically be in-combat and run with the old animation, but when you’ll come out of combat if you heat yourself near the fires, you’ll run with the new animation.
It’s easy to notice the difference then.
(edited by Ashariel.8490)
Now I know, the topic has been brought up many times since the change, but today I found out the “old” running animation is actually still in the game.
Perhaps, Anet, since the animation is still the akward looking one since the update, you didn’t found out wth people were talking about.
Turns out, when the human female character is running while in combat whith her weapon(s) sheated, the old (better) animation plays, but as soon as the character goes out of combat, the animation unexplicably changes to the new one, the arms go farther apart from the body, and swing back and forth farther, leaving that unnatural look.
Might be a good idea to check it out, and hopefully change it back to how it was.
Nice of you to fix the bug Anet, but you’re still using the “new” running animation. Please revert back to the old one, the actual one is such an inferior version visually.
(edited by Ashariel.8490)
Indeed, found out about it as well, and my character also has a stupid smile when running too.
Just revert back to the previous running animation anet, it was better looking.

Not a big fan of the change, looks a bit more unnatural than the previous one. Still, it’s not that noticeable.
Perhaps it’s just a bug
That heavy phalanx female armor set looks sexy on my Guardian. Looove eeeet! Also, I’d like to see more high heeled heavy armor come out like this.
You and me both.
There’s about 6 heavy armor sets that show skin in the entire game, and of them only 2 are skimpy. Oh! And of the skimpy ones, one makes you look like a cave girl and the other is beyond weird and bizzarre and forces you to farm a dungeon, so no thanks I’m going to dress my girl adequately.
Why can’t we get armors like those instead?

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/File:Warrior_Silver_Eagle_armor_f.jpgThose Guild Wars 1 armors exposed some skins but weren’t exaggeratedly revealing and still looked like metal armor. Those are the kind of armors I would have wanted for my warrior, and I would totally spend some gems on a set that look like that if one was available.
Revealing or not, I want heavy armor to look like heavy metal armor. Yeah, the game could use a few more revealing heavy armors, however the female version of the Phalanx set doesn’t even look like armor. (And neither do the Arah or pit fighter sets…) So yeah for the Phalanx set I also prefer the male version, just because it actually looks like armor.
Your suggestions for armor from gw1 contradicts your last paragraph considering two of those armors are skimpier than the phalanx set.
Regardless, heavy armor needs variety, it needs it’s share of revealing armor and non revealing armor, to please both parties. There will be more skimpy armor, and non-skimpy armor that will be released in the future, but there is no need for this uproar every time one such an armor comes out, because we already have quite a lot of choice to use revealing or non-revealing armor.
To cater only to the group that prefer conservative armor is unjust for the other.
From what I noticed while previewing in the total makeover kit, it seems kinda buggy. For instance, my sylvari had Spring color eyes, which were a bright green, but strangely enough, spring is now a very very dark green, almost black !
But for some reason, the Mint color beside it, is the Spring color of before.
From the way you are saying it, you seem to imply the game shouldn’t have skimpy outfits at all.
But hey, I was just saying, revealing armors for female characters is far from being 75%, or even 50%. You may as well check for yourself in the pvp locker if you wish. If you see many players wearing them in game compared to all the other sets however, well that just shows that’s what the type of armor the playerbase wants.

Really? Are we really letting horny boys design armor now or do we women just have iron skin on our boobs and thighs that men don’t have and somehow need less protection? Why is this 75% of female armors in the game while 75% of male armors are wholly covering or covering in a way that makes sense?
Yeah, I’m gonna ask you to show me your 75% revealing female armor here: http://www.gw2armor.com/human/female/heavy_list.php
