Athidae I was thinking of going condi Mes for the 8 orb achievement, I’m curious how you managed to keep clones up though?

edit: to clarify I mean in part 2

That was the challenge tbh. I didn’t. It’s impossible to keep clones up in this fight due to the hourglass shap coverage aoe that alternates in two positions that cover the entire arena. The extent of my clones were Phantasmal Warden (carefully timed so he could at least survive for 5 seconds :P ) which would grab her attention and take a few hits before dying. The only other clone I was using was Phase Retreat and that was just for a few seconds of added conditions before he would die.

Like I said, it was absurdly difficult as a condi staff mesmer. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone lol. If you’re comfortable with the build, go for it! Up the challenge! Best of luck!

Boosts: “Bowl of Orrian Truffle and Meat Stew”, “Master Tuning Crystal”, and Boosters.

Let me first say….. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!! This has taken me quite a while to complete. I got the initial kill a few days ago but this one…. This was harsh. I play the same build for everything and I’m not a fan of changing my core build which consists of Mesmer Staff condition build 0/15/25/10/20. My build is based on keeping clones up at all times to max out conditions. This fight made that aspect very hard so I had to adapt with swapping out utilities to “Mantra of Pain”, “Arcane Thievery”, and “Blink”. None of which I use on a regular basis short of “Arcane Thievery” for the occasional swap of feedback based on content.

Again, my build is based on clone upkeep and there was none. About the only damage was coming from my “Winds of Chaos” auto attack and you can imagine how brutal that was lol. It took severe circle strafing with blind spots to keep auto going, evading images, watching aoe, and scanning for orbs. I used “Chaos Storm” to insta-kill orbs due to staff / the occasional scepter (did not use on the actual achievement clear) auto attacks being “obstructed”.

This was a pure challenge. I think it was even more challenging staying committed to my build… But I wasn’t budging and now I’m lighting up the darkness BAYBEH!

tl;dr I almost threw my laptop against the wall but then I won so I didn’t.

It just seems a little too strange that these seem to have only dropped for people day one. Code isn’t invincible and it’s not unbelievable that the loot table could have glitched. I’m not sure if anyone else had mentioned this before, but if the devs could pop the hood and take a glance maybe there’s something there that could be fixed.

Hello, all. I’m not meaning to complain about anything, more I’m concerned with the loot table for the MF chest. I noticed that most people got their mini / jetpack on day one of the patch launch. My Fiance looted her mini on the second run of day one. We’ve ran this dungeon non-stop since… My guess is somewhere in the 40’s close to 50’s and haven’t seen a drop or heard about another drop since day one.

Has anyone looted either of these any time recently? Has anyone run the dungeon on day one and looted it on a later date? The stock on the TP only seems to be declining and I’m hoping there’s not an issue with the chest. I understand extremely low drop rates all too well. It’s not the first dungeon in any game I’ve ever farmed :P but with what seems all of it coming in on day one, I’m wondering about day two+, especially if you ran on day one. Call me paranoid, idk. I’d just like to know they’re still dropping.

Hello, I was buying packs of 5 keys by clicking via “Recent Purchases” and accidentally re-purchased the Bouquet I already purchased Yesterday. I have mine in the bank and have no use for a second. I was hoping this bouquet could be taken back for my 400 gems in return? I haven’t accepted the bouquet from the mail yet and am enclosing a screenshot showing the mail and you can also see in recent purchases how it was purchased twice.

What happened was the Bouquet was the last purchase so it was at the top of my “Recent Purchases” and when I started clicking on the keys in that list to buy more, the list moved down and I clicked the bouquet instead of (what I though) keys.

There’s a bug with the Helicopter not arriving after the cinematic in Arah story mode. Tried many things to unglitch it but no luck. Please fix this.

I agree. I feel like they realized after that event that event items and such should be account bound rather than bound to one character. Especially something like a bag. Even this year’s Wintersday back piece is account bound.

I’m personally a collector of event items like this. I recently switched my main and sent everything over to my new main. I have so far enjoyed actually using the event bags. Right now they all sit in the bank and seeing that red font is just harsh

I would love to see the 10 Slot Trick-or-Treat Bag’s soulbinding removed. We’ve had two events since then that have both rewarded account bound bags. I’d love to use the bag on another toon of mine and I know I’m not the only that would love to see the soulbound upgraded to account bound like the rest.

The thing is that 50% of the complaint is the minis from the chest and the other 50% of the complaint is only being able to craft two dungeon minis and having to buy the other 3 via gems. The minis issue is both sides, not one.

My personal solution for the chest minis is to bring back the Halloween system. Make it so we can buy a pack of the three minis (Snowman, Golem, and Elemental) and use the same forge recipe with stuffing to make the Quaggan. People were upset about having to buy the minis twice with halloween but at least there are multiple ways to receive the Quaggan for this event.

My solution for the dungeon minis is to make the dungeons a daily once the LA event begins. Give players that complete the dungeons the same reward for each dungeon daily so everyone has a chance to receive these awesome minis without having to fork out even more gems.

Anet wins because they get gems from the mini pack + another purchase of the same mini if people want to pursue the Quaggan via forge (unless players found him through other means).

Players win because we have various ways to obtain a lot of great minis and can still say, “Hey, I was there! I did the dungeons and I got all these minis. I wanted the rest so I forked out some gems and got the other 4 as well!”

The chest description on the wiki initially was misleading along with the special mini slots in the collections tab. Unfortunately we spent all of our gems on the boxes and now there’s nothing left to buy these last 3 dungeon minis when they’ll be posted.

I feel like this should have been mentioned before it was implied so people could have had a better idea on what they wanted to spend their gems on. I personally would have saved for 3 of the dungeon minis and as many boxes I could have got afterwards.

Mine dropped from Personalized Gifts that come from the mystery boxes. I was really surprised!

I believe they are also a rare drop from everywhere in the world.

From the patch notes:

“Rare mystery Wintersday boxes will have a chance to drop throughout the world. They will also be available in the consumable category of the Gem Store.”

I was hoping there were plans that the “10 Slot Trick-or-Treat Bag” would become account bound like the “Ancient Karka Shell Box” is.

I’m a huge collector and only like playing one toon which this game is really good for. I was upset to find that I couldn’t use my Trick-or-Treat Bag. Could an Anet employee confirm or deny if this will be changed? If anyone has seen anything on this please feel free to reply.

Let me first say that I’ve been in MMOs for 10 years now. In those 10 years I could probably count on both hands the number of times I’ve seen the communities really come together in such a great way that it made me feel so privileged to be a part of it.

Tonight was one of those special times and I want to thank you.

I’m a collector of in game special event items and things of the sort. Minis, costumes, exclusive items to make occasions, I’ve got to have them! So far, I have everything there is to collect. My fiance and I had to work today and I was devastated that I wouldn’t be able to take part in the Finale. I rushed home from work to find a dead Ancient Karka. I was so upset that I had missed out on the actual fight and even more on the exclusive 20 slot box to mark the occasion.

I sat around on the forums for a bit until I stumbled upon a thread stating the event was still active on some overflows. I quickly posted my IGN in hopes for an invite and actively tried every /join that was posted as well. My fiance was trying the same. Just as I was about to lose all hope (again), someone accepted her /join. Once she was in, so was I. Shortly after that, we got a guildy that missed it in as well!

We all had a blast going through the entire encounter and was so relieved when we looted the chest. I got my exclusive box, awesome accessory, and wouldn’t you believe that my fiance looted “Spark”, the precursor I need. She’s so awesome that she gave it to me for free!

That’s one serious turn-around for one night. From total upset to total joy and excitement! This happened because of steps the community took as a whole to help each other out…

Thank you all so much for taking the time and effort you did. I really think the general community of GW2 should be praised tonight.

I’m very confused about the minis from the consortium chests. The three minis are listed in the “Special” mini tab in collections yet there’s only a small chance to receive them and for a short period of time.

So far, all “Special” minis have been obtained from buying the CE/DD and buying the minis straight up from the Gem Shop on Halloween. Both sets of minis were guaranteed. This set of minis is chance.

I read that everything that you can get from the Consortium Chests, you can also get via drops during the upcoming event. I was wondering, is it possible for everything in the chest to be looted after the event as well? I’m just confused that they would add three slots to the “Special” tab and there be a very big chance that those slots would never be filled for you.

My fiance and I love to collect things in MMOs. Minis have always been a fun collection for us. We’d just like to know if this event is the ONLY chance to get these three minis short of buying them on the TP? If any ANet could give some solid info on this, that would be greatly appreciated.

I will agree with this. I wish these “one-time events” were “one day events” where the finale or any such event was replayed throughout the day so that players who miss said events will have another chance to play it later that day.

I’ll miss both Saturday and Sunday’s events due to work. I would love to be there but it’s impossible at those times.

Still haven’t seen this on sites yet or any replies about it here in the forums so I’ll post it again.
