No, I don’t think the model of your clone impacts anything really?
If anything, I’d swing for an asuran mesmer, that way it’s even more annoying to pick out the real one from the clones. I’d just roll with the race that makes you happy, though.
We’re a small bunch of dorks who do lots of group activities together, such as casual dungeon running and occasional fractals. We’re also a bunch of people who have read the popular webcomic Homestuck, and we have common discussions about it. (Though reading it isn’t a requisite, we make a lot of jokes referencing it and it’d be pretty neat if you’d give it a shot if you haven’t already!) Our only rule is “try not to be a kitten”.
You can add me, atrament.2314, and message me whenever I’m online for an invite into our growing guild of 50!
Our main server is Dragonbrand, but we have lots of people on lots of different servers. All ranks have permissions, so there’s no need to worry about not being able to use influence!
Everything about your post just confused me.
I’ve rarely, if ever, been able to save myself in a dungeon or otherwise. There’s just nothing… good about it. Rarely do I go down, but when I do I’m stuck hoping my party will notice me or I’m screwed.
Occasionally I can maybe dodge a few of a boss’ AoE attacks with the blink, but in general I just wind up confusing my party members, landing into more AoEs ,or dodging their revival skills (i.e, Warbanner). Just being able to aim the small blink would be vastly helpful! It seems like a very easy change that would vastly increase my love for the class. I get that the blink is supposed to be thought out before use, but it’s just not reliable enough to even consider life-saving.
I feel as if the mesmer’s downed kit is relatively useless, but I feel as if the blink is probably something I hate using. In most scenarios, I benefit more from not using it and actually sitting in damage because I’ll probably wind up closer to the boss, or in more damage.
