[SNIP] I do not have respect for dead murderers and psychopaths.

Well that’s silly, because you probably know a psychopath. There’s an entire stigma about psychopaths being soulless, uncaring monsters who will do whatever it takes to advance their own agenda, and care not about stepping on those who get in their way. And while a small (see: small) minority of psychopaths are actually violent, there’s a much larger number that is largely unknown, because they act like normal people. And that’s what psychopaths do. Act like normal people. Mostly because they are – they just have a lack of empathy. Note, that doesn’t mean they’re bad people, it just means they’re not empathetic, they can’t relate to people as well as others can. Those with autism are the same way. Psychopaths are not murderers. Don’t confuse the two.

On Ceara, she didn’t deserve what happened to her. She was a gifted Sylvari who chose not to follow the teachings of the Tablet, that’s fine. She stepped into the machine and met Mordremoth, and there she was corrupted by him. She stopped being Ceara. She stopped being the Sylvari she was and become the murderer we know a bit more. Even while she was corrupted, she always tried to do things for “her reasons”, even though they were obviously to advance Mordremoth’s plans (read: waking him up). If you’ll re-watch the cutscene that plays after she dies, you’ll see that she’s visibly corrupted, she has tendrils growing on her face, and that’s what Scarlet’s Veil kept hidden, her corruption. I don’t think it’s a large step to say that what she did was not what she necessarily wanted to do, but she still did it and she should be seen as responsible for her actions. Just keep in mind that Ceara probably never wanted to do what she did.

Does clone size matter?

No, I don’t think the model of your clone impacts anything really?
If anything, I’d swing for an asuran mesmer, that way it’s even more annoying to pick out the real one from the clones. I’d just roll with the race that makes you happy, though.

[MSPA] a fun, social guild!

We’re a small bunch of dorks who do lots of group activities together, such as casual dungeon running and occasional fractals. We’re also a bunch of people who have read the popular webcomic Homestuck, and we have common discussions about it. (Though reading it isn’t a requisite, we make a lot of jokes referencing it and it’d be pretty neat if you’d give it a shot if you haven’t already!) Our only rule is “try not to be a kitten”.

You can add me, atrament.2314, and message me whenever I’m online for an invite into our growing guild of 50!

Our main server is Dragonbrand, but we have lots of people on lots of different servers. All ranks have permissions, so there’s no need to worry about not being able to use influence!

Everything about your post just confused me.

The mesmer's 2nd down skill is useless.

I’ve rarely, if ever, been able to save myself in a dungeon or otherwise. There’s just nothing… good about it. Rarely do I go down, but when I do I’m stuck hoping my party will notice me or I’m screwed.

Occasionally I can maybe dodge a few of a boss’ AoE attacks with the blink, but in general I just wind up confusing my party members, landing into more AoEs ,or dodging their revival skills (i.e, Warbanner). Just being able to aim the small blink would be vastly helpful! It seems like a very easy change that would vastly increase my love for the class. I get that the blink is supposed to be thought out before use, but it’s just not reliable enough to even consider life-saving.

I feel as if the mesmer’s downed kit is relatively useless, but I feel as if the blink is probably something I hate using. In most scenarios, I benefit more from not using it and actually sitting in damage because I’ll probably wind up closer to the boss, or in more damage.
