UPDATE: My problem is fixed!
If you guys have Windows 10, let it make a new update! It will take some time, it’s one of those larger updates! It fixed it for me! Didn’t have to do anything else! Windows 10 updated and suddenly my game wasn’t freezing anymore! Even with V-Sync on. Textures are fine as well! I don’t know what was causing the issue, but it’s fixed with the new update! At least for now! Cheers, hope it fixed it for you guy as well!
Hi. Been having this issue for a while now. At this point I’m not longer playing due to the lack of interest by the Anet team on the issue.
I found out immediately because I had just installed the game again like 3 months ago. When I was setting up my settings I experienced a freeze when V-Sync was activated. Such freeze was solved with a CTRL-ALT-DEL. Seconds later I found this happening on every loading screen. CTRL-ALT-DEL worked every time but messed up the textures really bad. Disabling V-Sync solved it for me, although I don’t want play without it and since it always worked with it can’t understand what happened to not work now.
Decided to contact the support team about it. Every time I got an answer it was a different person. The answers were quick but I had to explain the problem every time to a new guy who came in. Then they threw random things at me to do to try and fix it. None worked. Not even compatibility mode which also lowered my frame rate heavily. So I just gave up. For those who want to play Disabling the V-Sync option should work. For those who want to wait for a proper fix..looks like we will be waiting a long time.
I’m probably going to try again soon 2 updates later, but from what I’ve seen, there aren’t any changes.
UPDATE: New update patch 9th August changed nothing. Just tried it again problem still persists! I’ll wait another 3 months I guess.
