I only really play Engy, and have no idea how to think up skills/cooldowns/traits.

But I thought some cool themes would be:

Forgemaster/Smith: Mace MH.
Pretty self explanatory, Mace would be a power weap, with maybe some vuln/burning thrown around on the skills.

Commando: dagger OH.
A pistol/dagger ’nam style hit a run commando I thought would fit the engy pretty well.

Something I haven’t seen mentioned yet ( if you have, i’m sorry for not seeing it).

Is instead of the addition of new weapons/ old weapons to diff classes. There is a specialization for each class that unlocks the use of a one handed weapon with 5 abilities.
Perhaps traits can focus on weapon switching or some such equiv with things that encourage using only a main hand weapon.

Obv this does nothing for 2hnd weapons, and I’m not sure if off hand weapons should be included either. But I think it would be cool none the less.

Zone: Timberlane Falls, Guilty Tears.
There is an event to escort some Whispers agents as a prerequisite for getting to fight the champ “Champion Frainn”.

The escort event has been stuck, or hung as the NPCs to escort don’t move. Just stand around the grawl area not doing anything.

Its been stuck on Blackgate for at least 18hrs now.

GW1 didn’t have pistols, guns, torches, etc, so it’s gonna be hard finding a fitting legend. Also if the pistol is released with an elite specialisation you will never be able to play pistol/shield because you can’t have 2 elite specs at the same time.

Was unaware of the inability to double up elite specs.
Of course new weapons don’t have to be tied to elite specs, but it sounds as if that’s the direction it will go in.

A guy can still dream!

I would love a main hand pistol. Not sure of a legend to match it as I never played GW1 to know all the lore. Maybe from Snaff as someone suggested earlier?

Either way, I love the idea of pistol/shield that engies enjoy. Such a cool combination of weapons you don’t see elsewhere.
