Hi,
I’m getting a privacy error warning from Google Chrome when I try to visit the support page for Guild Wars 2. Screenshot attached.
“This server could not prove that it is en.support.guildwars2.com; its security certificate is from *.guildwars2.com. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection.”
Just wanted to know if this is something from my end or something is up.
Thanks.

Just putting this on the table:
What if they take a step back and say, “Ok, if you already own the base game, we lop $10/13/25 off.”? Thoughts?

Would like to request that a new patch’s total download size be included in the patch notes.
Please and thank you? Would really help those of us who have data caps or are forced to use cellular data once in a while for whatever reason, and I have a feeling it wouldn’t be such a big deal to just put in a ‘this patch is xyz kilobytes big in total’ note for each new patch.
Wouldn’t mind knowing if I was wrong about that.
Hey, cheers.
So I was one of the guys who pointed out the overshooting phenomenon with Lightning Pull earlier. With the support of other forum-goers, I managed to get around it to enjoy the Labyrinthine Cliffs content all the same, in spite of my latency, and that was awesome.
What I’m a bit worried about is that Lightning Pull’s manual targeting mechanic – the one that was causing the overshooting problem we pointed out – has become a solid part of map traversal in Dry Top (aka compulsory) as opposed to a way to get to tricky or special areas (aka wholly optional1). The very first jump onto that admittedly large pillar of rock heading into the Crash Site, in fact. Believe it or not, but the manual target Lightning Pull shot me past it several times, as well.
I really, really hope this isn’t becoming a trend. No offense meant to the thoughtful folks in map design, of course. However, if the manual target pull becomes an obligatory map traversal mechanic with solid consequences (death, forced alternate paths, etc.) I think it’s in more than a few people’s best interests to point out that this will cause frustration. If this comes about, I hope a lot more deliberation goes into planning these traversal elements.
tl;dr, but, say…
to make up for giving us latency-plagued players an obnoxiously ginourmous platform to land on for our pulls, said platform is apparently unstable and you have to activate a switch or jump onto a nearby outcropping or look down and plan a deliberate descent onto a warm, inviting pile of hay, perhaps.
I apologize if this sounds awful or anything to that effect. After all, I did eventually get past that part that bothered me on the map. Still… I feel like it’d be good to get this out there.
1 inb4 you had to use Pull to get to the Zephyrite Ship at all in the Cliffs: yes, I know this was the case, but those Pulls had clearly defined Tethers that land you reliably on the other side aka not manually targeted and subject to latency issues.
Hey, thanks for the click.
I’m looking for a guild with active members around my timezone. I’d be in it for in-game friends and people to fill dungeon parties with, but I’m not a follower of the current meta—take that as you will, but it also necessarily means I don’t run full ’zerker gear.
At all.
I’m usually online around 6 – 10.30 PM weekdays in the aforementioned timezone. I main a front-line support Guard, but also have a geared condition Necromancer, hybrid dps Thief and an idekwtdh2p Warrior (plus a bunch of random toons).
I am also legally required to point out that I have a
7% chance to use a pun on hit. (2 sec cooldown)
so I apologize in advance.
If it ain’t broke, don’t FIX it.
^ Off-topic, mate.
Thanks for the advice, folks. The count at least sets me up and the work-arounds are working fairly well, so for the most part I’ve been back to enjoying myself again. Good stuff, cheers.
At the very least, do we have an idea how many Sky Crystals are out there, and if there are enough that if you skip the ones that absolutely require a perfectly aimed Lightning Pull, you can still finish the achievement for finding them?
Topic.
Every single time. I’m not exaggerating, I promise. I target a platform or ledge, and I usually end up falling far ahead of where I targeted, almost always past where the reticule was aimed at. I try to compensate by under-aiming, but then I face-plant into the platform or ledge’s edge and fall to my splattery doom.
The only times I’ve been able to land properly on a tiny platform or ledge was when the Lightning Pull would launch me a distance above the targeted landing site, which gives me time to hold my reverse button to try and compensate. This is dodgy, at best, since I can’t even visually align myself easily in the time between I’m chucked forward and I fall.
Is there any way I can alleviate this?
Edit: Also happens when tethers are present. The game clearly aims me towards the relevant tether, but it always ends the pull past it. This is especially noticeable when the tethers are on small platforms with no other way onto them but Lightning Pull. Undoable.

I kind of wish I could close this thread because a bunch of you hi-jacked it and used it to argue about something so off-topic. Embarrassing.
or set PC time to 3rd April or later..
Yeah, nah bro. No worky.
you did …turn off the client … set the pc time , then restart the game right ? ..its works like a charm on my end i teleport around from zone to zone just testing it , no complications..
Indeed I did. Oh well.
or set PC time to 3rd April or later..
Yeah, nah bro. No worky.
System restore points don’t help, either. Pretty sure it’s not client-side, at this point
Lol hang on. Apparently I spoke too soon. Your character screen stops showing bobble-headed characters – s’why I had thought it worked fine – but as soon as you get back into the game, everything is still bobble’d.
/shrug. Never said it gave me a head-ache. As stated, we all thought it was quite hilarious. In fact, we were in the middle of WvW when it happened. Thanks for the replies, folks. Setting it ahead of April 2 worked like a charm.
Also, just to not make Jabberwock erupt in righteous “you’re a stupid” fury, I made sure to set it back to Apr 1.

It was hilarious, yeah. Not bad for an April Fool’s joke, and definitely memorable (Great Jungle Wurm, the Dolyaks in WvW, pretty much every Charr in combat…) But I think it’s not a fault to ask for a way to turn it off before it overstays its welcome.

Cheers.
Intense lag at around this time, consistently for the past 3 days thus far.
