Guild Wars 2

I just bought a 2000 Gem Card from my local game store so I could unlock the episodes from Living World Season 2 that I hadn’t already got for 960 Gems. Now I have just over 1000 gems left and I wan’t to buy something else from the Gem Store. I had already previously bought a bank expansion but now I wanted something a little different.

Judging by the small amount of research I’ve done, the Copper-Fed Salvage-O-Matic is not theoretically worth it’s cost but many people find it very useful and enjoy using it.

On the other hand, I really like the look of the Hawk Wings Glider Backpack Combo and I feel like I’d really enjoy having it. Seeing as the wings are potentially a short-time available purchase, would it be better to get them for now to be safe?

Also some questions about the wings. Once I buy them, am I able to swap them between my characters whenever I want? And how do I do that?

Ok then, I’ve checked the store and I get a slight discount because I’ve got 2 episodes already. It’ll still cost me 960 gems. That might be my best option. Then I suppose I could spend the rest on something else in the gem store.

I know that I’m very late to the party, but I just finished my personal story on my first character and I’d like to get caught up on all of the Living World lore now.

I have done some research and I have a good knowledge of what happened in Season 1, so that won’t be a problem. For Season 2, I was really stupid and lazy, and I only logged in to unlock 2 of the 8 episodes (Tangled Paths and Seeds of Truth). I was under the impression that you could buy each episode for 200 gems or a bundle of all of them. Some people have also said that you can “ride along” with someone who’s already unlocked the episodes. Basically, I wanted your opinions on the cheapest/best way for me to experience Season 2 content.

I also just bought Heart of Thorns, so I’ll have the Maguuma and Season 3 content to look forward to as well.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but should I play it this order?
Season 2 ~ Heart of Thorns ~ Season 3

Thankyou all so much for your input! I’ve done a bit of extra research and decided that revenant probably isn’t for me just yet, so I’ll make a Sylvari elementalist and a Charr guardian and test them out to see which one I’d most benefit from instantly boosting. I also have a few of the items that boost to level 20 so I’ll use that on the other one to speed up the process a smidge

I played a fair bit of Guild Wars 2 about a year ago when I bought it and I levelled my Norn Ranger to 64 before leaving for a long time. I just bought Heart of Thorns on sale so I’m back to finish all my stuff off but I had some questions.

With Heart of Thorns, you get one free Lvl 80 character, and obviously it would be a waste to use it on my Norn (She’s already up to 71 from today alone). I always wanted to have a Charr Guardian or Revenant, Sylvari Elementalist and a Human or Asuran Thief. But now I’m not sure which of these I should use the 80 boost on? I’m really not sure which would be the most useful/best for me.

What is the process with the boost? The character obviously goes to Lvl 80 instantly but you don’t acquire any of the gear you otherwise would by doing the process yourself? And you don’t get the map completion for your starter area either?
