Guild Wars 2

Firstly Great video, I have just recently got my Guardian to 80 and am doing a lot of WvW with my guild. I am trying to make the transition from PvP to WvW, but am not sure If I am buying the right gear. My first set of gear I ave now is ll exotics with Knights Accessories/Rings/Amulet and 3/3 Soldiers/Knights armor with Soldier weapons. Is the extra power and Crit damage better for PvE/WvW then a bit extra toughness? And also would Speed runes be a good alternative to Travelers as i can not afford them and without the speed boost I feel like a turtle.

I am looking forward to using this build in WvW it is similar to a DPS trait set up I used in tPvP for a few weeks.

EDIT: Just did a check and changing between Knights and Berserker Accessories is 550 armor with a loss of 194 Att and 44% Critical Damage. I might test this in game with exotics and see if I prefer the survivability over the extra damage. I guess I don’t need armor against dead enemies.

Great Guide Pyro, will definitely come in handy when I hit up Solo Queues. A lot of the theories are very helpful, so I can make sure I give as much as possible to the team while also critiquing my own game play each match.

Amazing guide Supcutie, will help me a lot to learn the shatter play style. Got my Mesmer to 80 yesterday (first 80) and have been going shatter since I first tried it out. Looking forward to putting your guide into practice in PvP.

Firstly, great work assisting the mesmer population Osicat. I am pretty new to GW2 and am currently leveling my mesmer. I am trying to find a build that is useful for PvE and that is easily adapted to WvW. I was thinking of running Condition Cat in WvW and modifying it into a more Phantasm/Condition/Support Hybrid Build for Leveling and basic PvE. This is what I came up with; (I haven’t put the gear and runes in yet since its just a theory)

I chose Condition Cat because I can experience some general latency and lag and have found this stops my shatter play from being optimal.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Keep up the great guides.

EDIT: I have done a bit more testing this build in PvE and have found that using GS/Staff has a constant stream of clones, good direct damage, effective condition damage and still has useful interrupts on both weapon sets. To make this change I swapped Blade Training for Deceptive Evasion (which I swap for Mantra Mastery if i am running both Mantra of Resolve and Mantra of Distraction). I also my swap out Signet of Inspiration and Null Field for Mantra of Resolve and Mantra of Distraction when solo. I am enjoying this build so far and I am sure i will continue to tweak it.

Liked the new vid, gave me a god idea of how to be more effective in WvW teams when I am with my guild. Have fun at work.
