Guild Wars 2

I find that support for guilds in Guild Wars 2 is severely lacking. The name of the game is Guild Wars, yet we fight against the system of the guild itself?

The guild bank is not convenient; you have to travel to a huge city to use it, which takes a lot of time to load everything beneath your feet let alone the walls of the bank itself.

You could spend [a lot of] guild points to purchase access to it from anywhere, which isn’t something most guilds will do, anytime soon, due to the cost.

You have to drop items to your bag before you can combine them; you cannot combine items in the guild bank.

Double-clicking items from your bag to the bank only goes into the first tab of slots, and not any second/third. This is also true of our own private bank.

I would think that guilds are to be an emphasis in a game called Guild Wars 2 but in my opinion they are poorly implemented. We have little control over guild settings, ranks, options, and the guild vault has poor functionality.

Honestly, allowing us to change our guild’s name and tag, even for gems, would be a nice feature. It might even make up for the difficulty of using one. However, from what I’ve already seen of guilds in Guild Wars is that it’s nothing but a war to make one nice-enough to even want to pay much attention to it.

I would also like to cast my vote on this matter. We should be able to, through configuration or credit, change the Guild Name and Tag; if nothing else, at least the Tag.
