New voices, new backgrounds..

That would not be very easy considering the existence of personal drivel. Not only does voices for various grunts and shouts and so on need to be added, but each line in each path of the fully voice-overed personal drivel needs to be voiced as well.

Furthermore since you are asking for more backrounds, that would mean more personal drivel paths would have to be added. If each race/gender combo would have 3 voices each, that would mean each new character backround would have to be voice overed 6 times.

Point is: It is too much work for too little payoff.

something to consider as you add more dynamic events to existing areas

Pretty sure their respawn times will be slowed down once more DEs are up, right now it is just to prevent people from having nothing to do.

As for making them more impactful, yes, I agree to that. I think using Sims Medieval’s system would be a good idea for subtle changes. For instance, completing a Dynamic Event, may increase the security of a certain area, or may up the resources which in turn results in other DEs getting slightly easier or harder based on how well the server does other stuff.

I also think we need a reason to want those towns safe as well. Right now I seriously dont care if a town is captured or not. Make towns more meaningful. This could be done with bounty boards and a bounty system and an actual reason to use the town’s facilities, in other words, give us a reason for visiting a town other than selling all that vendor junk.

I was about to post something similar to this, but you did a better job than I.

Anyway, I wanted to add my own points.

Remember, Sunspears Never Fight Alone: Always try to find other players with similar goals to you, ask in team chat, state what you intend to do and if you get any whispers invite them. Just dont spam chat, no one likes a spammer.

When possible, stick near allied NPCs. 2v1 or is a lot easier than 1v1.

Do NOT go for SMC, unless you have good control over the supply. Not only yours, but also theirs. Remember, supply can be used to repair gates and trying to take SMC when the enemy has excellent supply income will result in a battle that will probably never end. Many Zergs may sooner or later go for SMC, they are just wasting their time.

Unless you have excellent survivability, be very careful when you get in close and personal in big battles. You are no good to your team if you are dead. Get in close and you will get a lot of attention from the enemy. And you may drop in a matter of seconds.

Dont underestimate control abilities and movement enhancing abilities. They can make the difference between life and death both for you and the enemy. A dead player has to go back to the nearest spawn point, unless ressurected.

Dont ressurect the moment you died, observe the situation you are in, if your group wins the battle they will probably ressurect you.

As the TC said, small groups of even 3 can do serious damage to an enemy faction dephending on how you play. A small group of 3 can easily take supply camps, intercept Dolyaks, ally with the 3 subfactions and other smaller (but not necessarily less important tasks).

If your party gets defeated or if you get defeated while you are alone while in nearby territory your server controls, watch the direction your killer(s) went after defeating you. Alert your server through team chat of where they are headed and hopefully your server organizes a defense force to counter the enemy.

Always pay attention to the map/team chat.
