I couldn’t do much because i was low on gold after a break, but i bought a few small piles. One of them was 10 sigils of Hydromancy for 4s each yesterday about 5 hours before the livestream. 1 hour after the stream, I sold them for 1g45s each just before the bubble popped. The remaining ones i have i’ll be holding onto to see if they become big as i have already made profit.

You can’t just say ‘make them harder’ as a blanket difficulty increase. As that would seriously affect some people in a very bad way truth be told.

I am on Vabbi and even at peak time, I have fought Claw of Jormag or the Shatterer with as few as 5-6 people. Then spent 10-15 minutes during the fight calling in map for reinforcements and in total, taking 1hr10 minutes killing Claw of Jormag. I’d see maybe 20 tops by the end of the fight if reinforcements do turn up. Also, the quickest i’ve seen claw of Jormag killed on Vabbi in all of the encounters i’ve took part in is 45 minutes. Shatterer, 20 minutes. I’m sure there are quicker fights at times though. But I play in EU peak time. But I have also seen the other side of the coin too. My first Shatterer encounter was on Desolation and was a 90 second zergfest.

If the difficulty is drastically increased by default, for us on the lower pop servers, the dragons will become impossible to complete, or take so long to do, they will become pointless. If the difficulty is changed at all, if should be tweaked depending on how many people are in combat. Maybe something like

Players > 20 = Boss Health x10, Minions Spawned x 2, x2 Champions
Players > 40 = Boss Health x20, Minions Spawned x 4, x3 Champions

If a system like that was added it wouldn’t affect low pop servers where the groups are small, but give the zergs a challenge on busy servers, especially if you have 3-4 Champions running around with the swarm, especially if some people think they can afk the boss.

Ran it twice today. Am running +69% MF total. Got green merchant fodder from the chest both times, but I chose 10, then 6 Personalised ToT bags from the king himself, opening them gave me a pile of candy and other halloween items. Including the recipes for the Major Sigil of the Mad King and Major Sigil of the Night.

A guildie got a lvl 76 Exotic from the chest on the second run worth 40s.

Post here if you have BEAT the Tower!

Level 80 Charr Engineer. No speed boosts.

Took many hours of trying but finally did it. Did it two more times within 10 minutes afterwards.

Why I am not enticed to buy costumes in GW2, but had ALL of them in GW1

How to fix the issues of town clothes and costumes. Some have already mentioned the solution.

1. Create a section in the Collectibles section of the bank for each costume where it is automatically placed upon purchase. Just like mini pets are placed. This way, they do not use up bank or inventory space and are easily accessible by all characters on the players account.

2. Add a game option to allow a player to toggle whether they want to ‘show town clothes when in a city’. This way. When a player enters any of the 6 cities, their town clothes automatically appear for all to see.

3. Don’t make town clothes disappear when engaged in combat when in a city. Or, change the system, so you revert back to town clothes once the combat has ended.

If these functions were added to the game, then town clothes would be much more viable, both to show off to other players, but more importantly, much more viable to purchase, as we wouldn’t need to manually swap or keep them in our bags at all time, wasting valuable bag space.

Queue Times

Queue size data. I can give exact queue data for Vabbi (EU) for the last 7 days. Waiting times = 0.0 seconds. lol

Even at peak time (8pm) on Saturday and Sunday I could enter Eternal Battlegrounds instantly. Granted, the server was being comprehensively beaten due to very good nightcapping at first by Ring of Fire over the last week and by the end of it, RoF held most of the maps constantly. Don’t know how much we pulled back though. But if more people came to servers like ours to get away from the queues, then we could put up more of a fight.

The Shatterer - In my opinion.

The only criticism I have with the Shatterer event I can see is that it seems to run on a very specific schedule. So when everyones alarms go off they know the Shatterer is due in 10 minutes and flood into the zone. Zerg the boss, kill it in 30 seconds, loot and then the place is deserted for hours until their alarms go off again. That is the problem, not the difficulty of the boss itself.

I’ve been in Blazeridge for the last few days and the most annoying thing of all is between each fight, is all you hear in zone chat is ‘how long till dragon’. That’s not the problem, the problem is the fact that people can give very specific answers. ‘45 minutes till dragon’. Then you get those who waypointed in only to fight him to find he was defeated seconds earlier. That happens after every fight, every single fight. That’s ridiculous.

This is the underlying problem. If ArenaNet changed the spawn timer of the event chain for this boss from the current fixed gap. To lets say, anywhere between 6-12 hours. That would mean that the Shatterer would appear 2-4 times a day. (He would still appear on average once a day for those in different time zones. But with the varying spawn time it would be different every evening. But the most important thing. No one would know ‘exactly’ when the event chain would begin. This would reduce the ‘huge’ influx of zerg boss campers from Lion’s Arch and other cities. It won’t remove them, but would put less emphasis on zergs. It would prolong the fight more and make it more enjoyable. Also, people who do take part will do more damage and therefore have more chance at getting loot.

Levelling a Charr - Which zones did you go through?

I’m lvl 46. I went Plains of Ashford, Diessa Plateau, Wayfarer Foothills, Snowden Drifts, Gandarren Fields, Fields of Ruin. Now I am in Blazeridge Steppes. I have 100% in Black Citadel, Hoelbrak, Lions arch and all the above areas except Blaze. My personal story is in Bloodtide coast but i am staying in eastern Charr lands, I read Edge of Destiny so it’s all making the book come alive.
