It may not necessarily be your ISP. During Halloween, there were quite a few people from Europe and also the US who were experiencing this issue, and not just Asia / Australia. Also during other times, this issue occurred across the board. A couple times last year, a lot of people in my guild across the globe, had serious issues maintaining a stable connection. Guild events were cancelled for a week or so until it all stabilized.

Opinions vary from the fault being caused by the User’s ISP to Anet’s ISP. The only advice I can suggest is simply to move on to another game if you can’t get a stable connection to GW2. That’s what I do anyway.

Honestly, just put up all the Skins and stuff that has ever been sold. It’s not like there’s a 100s of, e.g. armor skins.

Perhaps the original concept was to (a) make those who had originally purchased the item stand out, and (b) keep people in the game longer in the hope that ‘tomorrow’ that one special item will be back, but this only works if you actually can cycle through a boat load of stuff to keep people interested. You don’t. So it’s all just a little bit pointless.

May not be an ISP issue since I can play another MMO without any problems at all. Just can’t stay connected to GW2 for longer than 5 minutes (from SEA too). Ping is around the 2.5k range. Last week this was occurring to guys from my guild residing in various parts of the US. Most likely GW2 servers.

My advice – try for 15 minutes; can’t play ? Move on to another game. Sincerely tired of devs not really caring much about their customer base. We are what’s termed as “Collateral Damage”. Check the posts above. Simply insufficient numbers affected for Anet to expend resources to look into the issue.

Some small issues :

1. Armor / outfit Sets : The current designs are just odd. The majority of the armor sets seem locked in to having coats or skirts as their base design. Since there’s already designs with just pants, why aren’t there more designs which does not have “butt-capes” ? Considering that the whole intent of the Gem store is to entice people to fork out cash, it would seem more logical to shoot out as many different designs as often as possible to earn more cash. And yet this is not done at all.

2. Legendary Weapons : Why does this seem purely based on materials and crafting ? Wouldn’t it be more interesting if the process to attain a legendary was centered around a mix of story-missions/quests and also crafting, instead of “go here – kill X – loot item – farm 5000 leather – merge item + leather – repeat” ?
– Legendary Stats : Please do something about this. The increase hardly makes the weapons worth going for. IDK, throw in some built-in burst buffs or something to make it more interesting.

I’ve only been playing this game for about 6 months and I’m about done with it. Once the various story-lines are done, there doesn’t seem to be much to keep the interest going.

This game is completely unplayable for me right now as of the time of this post.

I literally log in to disconnect. Literally. As in, I would log in, take a couple steps and dc straight off. There has been numerous post about this in this forums. And ‘No’, I’m not going to bother with the screen shots and the ‘xxx-101’ post. Mainly since nothing seems to be done no matter what anyone does to try and help you.

And “No” it’s not my computer, or my modem or my network card or my ISP (I have checked all this with the exception of buying a brand new computer and signing up with a whole new ISP). If you even bother to read the posts in these forums you will see this is happening to your player-base worldwide across multiple ISPs globally.

Just what are you guys doing ? Are you trying to actually operate a business or are you just in it for a few laughs ?

Think Sneakthief, Aetherblade Heavy Legs, Seer coat.
Seer armor would be so much better if the legs were trousers rather than the oversized bulky skirt.

- Completely agree. A month in and I also gave up on hunting for armor skins cos 99.9% of everything seems to have some weird funky flappy thing. And devs please don’t say you can’t do this since there’s at least one outfit without the capes,krytan; which means you would already have some sort of skeleton in place for it already.

I’m guessing it’s something to do with their end. If you read through the posts you’ll notice it happened to people all over the World; including the US (have a guildy from there with the same issue).

Additionally, I note that this does not happen all the time (at least not for me anyway), but when it does, GW2 is completely unplayable; we’re talking dc’s every minute, literally. Perhaps this has something to do with Anet switching servers / routers or something on their end every now and then ?

Try doing Retrospective Runaround with dc’s. Definitely not fun when you dc in mid jump and about half way through (rolls eyes).
