Eochaidh – there’s nothing to calm down, since they implemented even broken update, besides fact they’ve broken fun along with it.

Game’s still broken, since there’s no way to have funky set to do something more than 30 level dungeons, and it’s endless grind atm without fun [according to variety of skill each class have, playing so many time (how long CoF set takes now? 1xx hours[it’s quite not fair aswell since lot of ppl have those and can just enjoy rest of game since they’re geared]) with 8 buttons is just boring].

Otherwords, that the part of your update was broken, while you implemented broken update itself means nothing. It’s still not fun, even if you fix the thing. Nerf magg path to the level it used to be, instead of making RNG-1 shoot kill thing. It’s not diablo, u can’t pick level your playing on, and naturally bringing inferno-a-like hardmode is riddiculous.
I basically keep fighting bout that, since it’s only thing that can keep me around till MoP.

Well rage is caused by situation where all fun/rewardings things [which, not really lying was only CoF near the endgame] has been took away for “opportunity” of endless ultra hard grind. With gear i had after reaching 80, amount of gold i’ve hit with 80 i basically have no reason to even log in game since only dungeon i could benefit off and not waste whole day was CoF idd. That’s where is hate from – casuall gaming has been killed.

So what’s current state of it ? I’ve seen little update this morning, but i assume there’s still no reason to log since patchnotes seemed rather cosmetic, and dungs. stay as they were – broken ?

Cool Jon, but still do You realise it’s impossible for casualls to reach endgame content by time it does take ? Also it’s not fun to die, just that.

Ell, u realise that by helping out friends [yah, helping out as beeing 30 times dead to complete one event is fun!] u’d get this armor by the end of next year which actually gets to the point only thing u can let yourself to for next 1 year is this dungeon coz orr reqs. better gear ? Either i could spam lower dungs and get useless tokens but if u realise, this dungeon was only thing that let u do a bit of endgame so far and drill into it if u just leveled 80.

Elethor, ofc game can. But if this is a bridge between getting to more content like orr and other dungs, game pretty much CAN NOT, since it’s blocking players.

Actually difference in between WoW and GW2 is GW ain’t friggin WoW.

Dungeons at WoW never been easy without gear at launch, it’s farm only before ending content of current Additon.

GW2, “casuall” game that brings you “fun” and is nothing like wow just been made like riddiculously worse since as u mentioned
—-there’s no other end game content here, so why would you frustrate yourself with endgame which is not rewarding at all and is about grind ?

Fay, Elesthor, having fun with your already farmed CoF gear? yes? Cool. It was supposed to be casuall game, as i said before, 200 hours of grinding 1 set atm ain’t casuall, unless ur playing 20h a day.

Grinding dungeons isn’t fun for most of us and seeing people walk away with full dungeon sets with little actual effort – or even worse, being turned down from groups because I didnt want to speed run the dungeon over and over – was a little disheartening.

As a more casual player who still has an interest in the dungeon challenges, I applaud this change. Talking to my guild in chat this morning – they universally agree.

Honestly ? Probably you haven’t ever been in and that’s just what you say in general idea of getting “cool armors and stuff”. This game was supposed to be for casuall players, not for someone who can farm 2000 tokens while one run takes up to 2 hours and rewards you with 20-30 of em, and still thinks that’s not much.

Besides, CoF was only way to farm some gear to actually give you starter which gave oportunity to actually enjoy stuff as WvW or other dungeons, coz u had something to go there with instead of leveling items/extraordinary expensive orange items.

At some point it’s good game beeing broken by this patch ain’t it ? There was some bugs ect. which needed to be fixed, but besides that it really seemed well made, also for casuals. Now instead of fixing bugged skill challanges ect, u just took the fun away soo….

Sarius, those runs were fun beacouse they were rewarding, and u could prepare for other dungeons only thanks to CoF in matter of not grinding 150 hours for gear/cash.

It’s bout beeing fun, isn’t it ? If so many players feels it used to be fun, why just don’t put it how it was, especially as you mentioned so many ppl have those sets already, why rest have to put more effort into em?

I totally agree, that kills casual playing and end up with harcore grinding to actually have ‘something’. If u can’t be hardcore, there’s no point of playing since u will never be rewarded.

This CoF thing was so far only thing that brought me bit of fun, by beeing rewarding.

You took pretty much only joyfull thing at endgame part from loads of players, and created huge crater between new players and anyone who already farmed gear in CoF. Why would you keep repeating mestakes of other MMOs and create such a disatventage between players?

And there goes a thing. I was actually quite bored of game according to effort that gathering some better looking gear with statistics would take, till i found out CoF u see. And there’s a point – i found out CoF, which brought me some joy that could be put to a statement “Oh okay, i can have fun in short runs, gather gear that could use for farming higher zones/dungs”. Day after, when i was aiming to get a bit of gear myself CoF was nerfed to the ground, expanding time that farming this gear would take to around 100 hours or so just for this dung set. That cannot be fun with 5 basic skills and same path for all of those, while playing CoF before nerf, seemed rewarding, satisfying and was like “Yay, i’m beeing rewarded” which is pretty much biggest impulse to play MMO. At this point i just feel beeing a bit cheated, according to lack of notifications bout nerf, time of doing a thing much longer and not beeing rewarded in gold at all, also investing gold in runs since it’s chain of endless repairs by now.

Literally by nerfing CoF Anet took only way that players could prepare for other content, have fun and earn some money, also pretty much taking away any eagerness of myself to play GW2 anymore, since not beeing rewarded at “farm” of something is pretty much thing that does kill games.
As an example i can just put Diablo 3 here – they had loads of players quitting until they fixed awarding players system.

I’m quite happy MoP is coming out soon, since Anet with that one simple move broken good endgame-preparation for all new players, totally nerfing they’re adventages compairing to players who started to farm it bit earlier, and broke well prospering game with it.

I assume all “nerf is good” posts are from players who already got all the items of CoF tokens they needed either from players who never found how fun is it to actually be well rewarded for something in MMO? Ofc, if you’ve already spent some time in CoF and got the gear nerf seems like good idea for ya, since you got the gear others won’t be able to get within next few months, just as bugged skillsets in diablo 3 set up economics and made game playable only for players who farmed gear using broken skills before.

There we go again, it always happens as mmo hits. Change u made to CoF at this point would not be harming if not… of course – loads of players got CoF farmed before this update – results ? Gold, gear, kinda adventage that’s impossible to get now.

Why would u such a thing that makes players who started playing earlier god-like among rest? At some point riddiculous amount of tokens needed to get gear now would take months to farm if ur not sitting 24h farming one dungeon.

The thing is if ur bringing “balance” to game, do it in way that won’t hurt new players, since people who dont even need any more pieces from CoF prolly dont mind this update at all.
