I would rather see Fractals OR dungeons… everyone wins!
He is on to something…
I’d love to a see a “complete 4 of the following X tasks” for a monthly goal rather than being “forced” (used loosely, of course) to do what i don’t really want to.
Then again, I didn’t complete December’s monthly (didn’t feel like doing fractals and WvW) and I’m still standing with buckets of unspent karma on 1/1/13.
There is, mounts make the actual character, you know the one with wich you play, less important. Noone is gonna check your armor or legendairy weapon if you sit on a Moa or dolyak, the mount will define the character, as it does in WoW now, and i don’t like that.
That’s a really interesting observation i don’t think many people realize about potential elitism.
Personally, due to the waypoint configuration and current run speed buffs, i don’t really understand what mounts would further offer… unless you added aerial mounts which would allow z-axis exploration. I think a lot of content is missed with aerial mounts – at least from my WoW perspective
I have 7 characters and its quite clear there are classes that excel underwater (thief, ranger, warrior…. if i recall) and classes that are just terrible (by comparison – like the elementalist).
There are classes i just avoid any water situation because their skills seem a little underwhelming.
It’s already been said, but i started play less and less when WvW became repetitive.
Zerg to a fort, stand in front of the wall, wonder if we’re going to actually get coordinated and lay down siege… wait for them to zerg back, repeat. Consequences of any of the actions are little if any. If we take the keep, they might take another, or just wait 20 minutes for us to get bored and move on.
I have also found it necessary to make a few “competitve” classes in PVP as some are weaker than others, while some are clearly designed to exceed.
I usually get my 50 “monthly reward” kills and play again next month not to get burned out.
Oh, I’m sorry i mixed up my PC parts… doh!
i meant Pentium 3rd gen i7 (the 3770 came out in my brain as 3.7)…
My ultimate point being my video card is better than his, but my processor is slower. He seems to have better results.
It’s probably been said quite a few times, but why not change the mechanics and remove the magic find properties from the items themselves, and create some other form of individual sacrifice (like gold, karma, skill points, etc.) and create a ‘purchase-able’ or passive buff?
Now the group isn’t penalized for your individual desire to find better gear and now you have a use for virtually useless commodities (karma, etc).
This game really needs to tweak the design to allow multiple means to purchase items… but maybe that gets away from the Anet cash/gem market.
I have a friend running a newer Dell with a Pentium III 3.7 but “only” a HD 7570 (fairly stock model now).
He’s playing stutter free on above average settings, which i think lends towards the CPU>GPU argument.
I have a much older processor with an HD 6850 and my game slideshows at times.
No good medium armour?!
C’mon… there is the trench-coat with the buttons… the trench-coat with leather patches… the embroidered trench-coat… the pirate trench-coat… the possibilities are nearly endless! (unless you can count to 4)
Don’t forget, if you are a Norn, you get a bigger trench-coat than you do if you play an Asura, so that’s different too. Oh, and you can dye your trench-coat like 48 shades of off-tan and non-grey.
With the exception of about 2-3 “nicer” medium armour sets, the medium designs make angels cry.
Fun video – made me laugh a couple times.
