Ok first of all, you will encounter endless amounts of stupidity in raids, but that’s to be expected. Best thing to do is just laugh at those people and their inability to learn anything after killing each boss dozens of times.

Now to your question: Guardian is completely fine, you might not reach the dps of an elementalist/engi but it’s decent, fairly simple and offers a lot of utility in form of protection and aegis, which makes it a great class to start on. I’d advise you to just browse the “Looking for” subforum and the guildrecruitment reddit a bit, a lot of guilds offer raid training, and those are generally very experienced and patient players willing to explain the mechanics in detail. And when you’ve gathered some experience on most/all bosses on guardian, you can start thinking about learning a seconds class, as each class has its own little tricks on most bosses.

Hi there,

we’re a small group of players looking for 3-4 more players interested in daily dungeon tours. These tours will be done as fast as possible, so if you’re somewhat new to dungeons or the game, this won’t be the place you’re looking for. An exemplary dungeon tour on a normal day could look something like: AC full, CM full, TA full, SE 1+3, CoF 1+3, CoE full, HotW 1 + optional full, Arah full. To make sure these runs are as quick and smooth as possible, we set some requirements for ourselves:

- 3 classes fully geared + knowing them
- experience with speedrunning every path in the game
- being able to speak english and use discord
- daily activity
- being open for criticism and able to adapt to different tactics

Disclaimer: Raidbuilds =/= Dungeonbuilds, we’re not looking for Condi-classes, Hammer Guardians, Necros, Healers etc.

We will then do a few Testruns (at most 2 tours), before we decide if you fit into our group or not.

If we say something like: “something something is not viable”, we don’t mean you can’t play this class/build anymore. For us, viable is almost the same as optimal, since we are a hardcore speedclear guild and only look at stuff that will help us getting fast and good kills."

This guild is prime example why raid community gets so toxic on first place.

You should be thankful instead of hating on them. A lot of work goes into these guides and they are a reliable source of builds for everyone to use. If you think that’s the reason why the raid community is toxic, you might wanna take a look at these builds and rotations yourself

I’ve just returned to GW2 after over 10 months (pre-HoT) and now I’m looking for a guild to play, chill, have fun etc. I’m a very experienced Dungeon and Fractal Player, but I obviously have no idea about raids, and the Fractals they changed, yet, as I’m just working on getting all the HoT stuff like Elite-Specs unlocked. If necessary I’m also able and willing to help any new player trying to get into the PvE-content.

I’m not really looking for a hardcore guild anymore, but if someone wants to carry me through some raids and teach me stuff, I’m up for it for sure. Teamspeak, Microfone and all the good stuff are available.

• A Fractal level of 50 and enough AR (Agony Resistance) to be able to do 50 on at least 2 characters.

After we have reviewed your application and deemed it acceptable you will get invited to a few trial runs, where we can experience your gameplay by ourselves. If you pass this trial, you will get invited to the guild. I’m a 17-Years old highschool student from Germany who is currently looking for a guild that is doing fast or even speedruns through every dungeon, as well as 40+fractals. It shouldn’t be a super-hardcore Speedrun Guild, because I’m not too experienced with these kinds of runs, after running 1 year pretty much only with pugs. However, if there is a speedrun guild that would teach me these certain things. I am playing a Warrior as my main, although I’m currently leveling a thief, to learn it. I’m plaing full berserker gear with strength runes, but I’m planning to get a second set with scholar runes. I’m always switching between phalanx strength and full dps warrior, so I’m flexible with that.

What I’m looking for:
-experienced dungeon and fractal runners
-between 30 and 70 players ( maximum 100 )
-Guild Missions
-Guild Teamspeak server

-experience in every dungeon
-knowledge of warrior ( soon thief hopefully)
