Approx. 90 minutes ago I got the following answer to my ticket (that was opened on the 19th of November):

Thank you for your patience while the ArenaNet Development team investigates this incident.
At this time, we have finished delivering the rewards for the Lost Shores event to all accounts that qualified. If you have not received the reward, please make sure that your in-game mail is not full. If you are able to receive mail but have still not received the reward, it is because our records indicate that you did not meet the requirements to receive these items.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

However, I have not received an in-game mail (I have cleaned out all but 3 mails and restarted the game, didn’t help) and I have the joy of reading posts here and on FB about people receiving the in-game mail despite opening the chest at the end of the event…
I have asked for information on how they determined who was eligible to receive the in-game mail.
In one of the answers to my ticket (and probably everyone else’s) they write “We have confirmed that we can provide everyone who did not have the opportunity to loot the chest with a reward for their participation.”
Well, apparently not.
Most (all) of what I experienced has already been described in great detail, so +1 I guess…
