I’m in the same boat. I was using 5/6/0/3/0 with a mix of gear for 2300+ power, 2500 armor, 50% crit chance, 83% critdamage, armor and 17000 hp. It took 5 sets of armor, 6 rune sets of experiementing to find a fast paced sb and p/p build that I could use in a Zerg or roaming.

The nerf to poison field, centaur runes (bleed down from 45% to 25%), crit damage down to 45% obliterated my build. After experimenting for a while with other weapon sets/runes, I sold most of my collectables to buy str runes. I’ll never have the same results, but I’m not helpless with the build after the patch. I think that if perplexity runes stuck around unchecked for so many months, why wouldn’t Str remain as long?

Now I am also toying around with a fun p/d power build with str stacking. As far as Build diversity goes, I’ll say with 100% certainty, we are much worse off than before.

That phantom hood that’s always mocking me in the wardrobe. If mad king didn’t just come out, I would have held my gems till I stopped playing waiting for that hood.

Had no idea you couldn’t salvage badge armor before this update. No notes when I bought my badge armor, and I never bought any rune that cost enough to use a transmute stone. Only cheap runes and badge/ karma armor, using only wvw skins for appearance because as a wvw player, looks are second to trying new builds and new armors. After a couple months, spending around 30gold on different armor and rune combinations I had 3 sets of badge armor and finally decided I would buy a set of knights badge armor to test and put runes of speed in to prepare for ferocity nerf.

After the patch I tried using these speed runes on a different set to see how I could live with these changes, and bam. Surprise screwed. Why the hell is there nothing done about this? I never wanted anything fancy, just kill players and be killed doing stupid stuff. Some badge armor gold costs are close to its price on the trade post, yet no extracting or upgrades?
