I can live without it, capes do not add anything of real value to the game.
Neither do the many new armor and weapon skins they keep putting out every few months yet they continue to do so.
If they eventually do then that is great, but I can see it as being nearly impossible to implement. With the current variety of races, the addition of an extreme variety of armours and the fact that your character has so much more mobility compared to your Guild Wars 1 character I see the work involved for such little pay off being nearly pointless, as no doubt Arena Net also do. Unsightly clipping would almost be a certainty, possibly so much so that such an eyesore would detract from this beautiful game far too much.
This same argument can be made for every armor skin that is already in the game and yet they go to the effort of making them work on every race and even making some of them look different for each race [Wedding Outfit]. And who cares about clipping. There is already loads of clipping in the game.
I say Arena Nets time and effort are best spent in other areas of the game where good results are far more likely to be accomplished. And lets not forget we already have a decent and more diverse backpack system.
It’s not diverse because it’s lacking capes.
HoT Price Feedback + Base game included [merged]

Have to disagree that the inclusion of the base game as a “free bonus” is going to benefit new players. How does a new player know they want HoT if they haven’t even played GW2 before? It makes more sense to discount GW2 permanently to about $20 to make it cheap for someone to get into the game. Then they can decide for themselves if they want to keep playing and upgrade to the expansion. Also lets not forget that if someone were to jump straight into HoT content without doing the personal story and the living story they would have no idea what is going on.
I don’t hate this, but I don’t think it’s an interesting mechanic at all. The mobs go down in about five seconds anyway so this just unnecessarily lengthens the fight. I’d prefer if they didn’t continue with this.
I would like to see them cleanse Orr with an expansion release which could coincide with a new personal story campaign dealing with taking out another elder dragon. The new story could perhaps take place starting from around level 50 where the current personal story takes us to Claw Island, and could instead take us somewhere else to deal with a looming threat from from one of the other dragons. This takes the focus away from Orr in the personal story so a new cleansed Orr could be introduced.
1) Mechanics > Content.
2) Roles in PVE.
3) Living Story.
Tough Customer W1 - Impossible for Oceanic?

Finally after about another 50 or so attempts I got this. Thanks for all the suggestions people, it really helped. I still think Arena Net should change this. Perhaps make it so the waterfall doesn’t kill you, because having one thing that is significantly harder than anything else, and is so reliant on latency isn’t right in my opinion.

I’ve tried to get this so many times to get shop 6 in World 1, the one where you have to jump through a waterfall to get to the shop, and I’m convinced this is almost impossible to get for players in Oceania who typically have higher latency. I get it’s supposed to be hard but this is ridiculous. Would love to hear from some other Australian players who got this and find out how they achieved this miracle.
