I’m having the same error. Others in my guild have this error, too.
I am hoping that a simple update can be made to the trading post. I lost about 10g in the last two days and did not realize it until too late.
If you list an item on the TP – you pay a listing fee.
If you remove an item from the TP – you do NOT get that listing fee returned. I thought you did.
I listed my first big money item – a crafted Sentinel’s Destroyer Greatsword. I had some of the materials, but still payed nearly 20g in raw materials – thinking to turn a profit. Matched lowest seller around 40g. A few hours later – somebody came in lower than me. So I removed, and relisted at lower. A few hours later, same thing. Then two or three times today, I again dropped my price – trying to keep my item at the lowest listed cost. It’s down from 40g to 29g. So my profit yield is way down – but still a good chance at profit. Then I noticed my gold – down to about 1gp on my toon. UGH! Never was getting those listing fees returned to me as I thought I was.
There’s nothing on the TP page about not getting listing fees back. Nor is there is a warning that if you remove your item, you don’t get that money back.
My own fault – and it’s all fake money (though hard-earned fake money) – but I am hoping that Anet can make a simple pop up or other type warning making it obvious that listing fees are not reimbursed once an item is put on the TP. That, or allow us an option to change our listed price.
Thanks,
