Try spotflux. I had the same problem (I bought game yesterday). I used it and download speed increased from 0.05 KB/s to 1-1.5 MB/s. Definitely this is not the full bandwidth but it is better than nothing.

I have the same problem. Furthermore, every few minutes appears “Connection error(s) detected. Retrying…” My internet speed is very good (download speed on Steam around 5-6 MB/s). What is a reason of that situation? Is there any solution?
