Whoever said Ele’s get 1-2 shot in dungeons needs to learn the class a little better. Sorry, I’m not bothering to look them up, not worth the time.
Ele’s have a lot going for them. I currently run a survival D/D build and I love the versatility, the movement, the high skill ceiling. It’s not easy to play, but once you get things working, you are a wrecking ball. Add to that the fact that your support is just about the best in the game and you have a great class.
I’ll usually switch to staff for keep defense since it’s fun to rain down death on the zerg at the gate and just collect my bags, but it’s not nearly as rewarding.
Bottom line, if you want to faceroll, go play a warrior or guardian. If you want a challenge, come roll an ele and grab yourself some daggers.

Special thanks to Choo for the excellent fight at BG Bay. They pushed in, camped out in the Lord’s room for about 10 minutes while BG fought to prie them out of there. Really fun fight.

If you’re paying $60 to buy another copy of the game, you’re not getting the best deal. I’d post some links here but I’m not sure if there’s a rule against advertising low-priced copies of GW2 at certain very well-known web sites.
Anyway, the “special” seems to be $30 over the next two days. Happy treasure hunting.
So now I’m paying $30 to start all over with no characters vs. spend $20 to transfer my five level 80s? You are one smart consumer sir. Please come shop at my establishment any time. Oh, and for those of us who’ve made a little coin along the way, or who stockpiled gems when they were dirt cheap…. I’m not spending any money to transfer. Soooooo…. yeah
OK, so essentially your wall of text is built around a couple very simple premises.
1. OP thinks that paid server transfers will ruin WvW. The logic is pretty much fail in that category.
2. Albeit in a very polite way, he/she is raging about apparently still being on the SoS Titanic as it continues it’s slow slide into the icy waters of the WvW community.
Now, I’m one of those folks who used to be on SoS and transferred out several weeks back. I can tell you absolutely why some people left, and it had nothing to do with jumping on a bandwagon. It had everything to do with having a little pride in your server. When you’re down 15k on Tuesday and you can’t raise much of any support in home borderlands that’s frustrating. When that trend continues for weeks on end, well you only have a few options left – transfer out, or resign yourself to the fact that a good portion of the WvW crowd are nothing more than frontrunners who lose interest the moment the outcome isn’t certainly in their favor.
All in all, paid transfers aren’t killing WvW. Get your head right.
