Would enjoy to seem something like this implemented into GW2, challenging content with non-RNG rewards.

Normal Mode and Hard Mode Raids

TL; DR Clear distinction between difficulty for more causal players and more experienced min/maxers.

Goal: Two difficulty tiers for players to choose from- Normal and Hard.

Functionality:
Normal: Would require coordination similar to the Boss Blitz.

Hard: Would require coordination similar to Triple Trouble (maybe have optional gambits to challenge players even more).

Risks:
Potentially splitting some players, this already occurs with Teq and Triple Trouble, so I don’t think players interested in this type of content would notice a split.

Note: I cut out a lot of my original notepad doc., will add more if there is interest.

Suggestions for obtaining precursors

Yeah the dungeons tokens would probably be better around 800-1000 from each. The other gift requirements could probably be tuned down a bit also. But the amount of effort that goes into obtaining a precursor should still be fairly high, and somewhat time consuming. I like the idea using collections, maybe instead of using a Gift of Exploration, you must have completed X amount of collections. I think all game modes PVE, WVW, and PVP should be included in “crafting” the precursor.

Some players, myself included, do not like the current RNG way obtaining precursors. Below is a plan of how I think players should be able to obtain a precursor.

Step 1: Add a new vender that can sell three different gifts (one for PVE, WVW, and PVP). This vender would only sell 1 of these gifts per month, this would create a 3 month-minimum time gate and would (hopefully) give the economy time to react to the potential influx of precursors. Or alternatively these precursors could be bound to your account when you purchase them.

A) Gift of the Dungeoneer (PVE) Collect 2,500 tokens from each dungeon.
B) Gift of the Tactician (WVW) Collect 20,000 Badges of Honor.
C) Gift of the Warmonger (PVP) Obtain rank 20 in PVP.

Step 2: Combine the 3 Gifts (above) with a Gift of Exploration to create a redeemable token that can be used to purchase any precursor from the new vender.

Suggestions for improving FOTM rewards

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Introduce a new token awarded at level 30+, players would be awarded “Mist-yerious Tokens” when they complete a run.

As players complete higher level Fractals they will be rewarded more of these new tokens.

For example:

Level 30-34: 3 tokens
Level 35-39: 4 tokens
Level 40-44: 5 tokens
Level 45-49: 6 tokens
Level 50: 7 tokens

Fractal Weapon skins:

Add a new vender who sells all the Fractal Skins for specific amount of the new tokens (40-50 per weapon).

If/When more levels are added to FOTM this new vender could be used for more rewards (maybe a Fractal armor set or ascended weapons/armor).

Fractal Tonic:

The new vender would also sell the tonic for a high amount of the new tokens.

RNG alone is NOT a fun way to acquire these items, in my opinion players should be able set goals and achieve them in a reasonable amount of time. With a token
redemption system players could know when they will get the weapon(s) they want in X amount of days/weeks.

Please take a look at Relativity.3264 post on the current drop rates, I think that shows how much a new reward system is needed in FOTM.

Brainstorm: Key Discussion Points

First off, thank you for responding to the communities concerns! Having these discussion points in the forums would be a step in the right direction. But I think you should go a few steps further and have some sort of monthly (or quarterly) Dev live-stream that discusses possible features and ways you might implement them.

This is a shame.. SAB was one of the best “mini-games”. Hopefully they will at least re-enable it and add zones further down the line.
