So I’ve got 46 tomes of knowledge sitting in my bank right now along with a birthday booster to get any character to level 20. The plan is to use them on a new revenant but I wonder if I’m going to destroy the experience in using them and being a instant-max char? I usually dont learn a class well until I’m max level(I’m still clueless on a lot of stuff on my engi and he’s been 80 forever), so does anyone who’s played a bit in the beta think its going to hurt the experience or won’t it matter?

yay, Teq’s back to being possible. Was about to give up on spending an hour to get into a good map only to have it fail and people all leave mad. Upside to a hard teq is that it was a challenge that only a few could complete and maybe feel like its an accomplishment. Downside is that most maps failed and everyone else just gives up on it making it even harder to find a group to do it

Update: Now 2/8 successful teqs. The last was in a pug group that wasn’t very organized but somehow finished with 5+ minutes left and I had no idea how. If there really is an exploit then maybe that explains it since we’ve failed on very organized maps.
Edit: Now 3/9, finished with 7+ minutes left on the latest run. People were explaining what build every guardian should have so yeah, doubt we won because we did anything right and more because of the exploit.

I’ve had one successful Teq out of seven now I think? At this point people are just quitting the fight when you’re not even to the first phase after 5 minutes and they’ve had to waypoint from death a few times.

In order to get into a map that has enough players/organization to kill teq I have to show up an hour early and usually I walk away with some greens and a spoon. Now I get to show up an hour early, spend twice as much time trying to kill him, and still get a spoon.

Just started the game, have a level 22 engineer. With the exception of a few things (mob spawn rates/density of mobs in some areas) its entertaining but could be better. So far I like what I’ve seen of the new super adventure box. Its something unique that doesn’t reward much but does ad a fun event in that people seem to enjoy. Except, there’s whiners popping up seeking to make things un fun and un changing and they don’t like the adventure box. They want slightly different looking gear but for no effort because that would be a grind and thats what the teams should’ve worked on.

There were whiners in WoW when they created the Scourge event a few years back, even attempt to infect a capital city and players would /spit at you just because they had srs biz at the AH and couldnt be bothered to play an event. And the forums were filled with complains of those who just wanted it to be any normal day. And that event never came again.
Whiners want the game to stay stagnant forever. Spontaneity is an evil word to them. Mounts? Evil word, it would change something. Level increase? Evil word, have to change again. Modify the landscape? No good, they like seeing the same thing every day.And at the end of the day you’re left with jumping puzzles and WvWvW…. And never anything changing.
